    Bigger than it seems!
Spent a good couple of hours here, absolutely packed with information that's really well laid out and so well connected to the local area. Learnt a lot of fascinating local history and more general information about fishing and lifeboats. So cool to see three of the town's original lifeboats and more fishing boats so well preserved. Staff were exceptionally friendly and clearly passionate.

    Interesting museum
Really interesting museum with lots of exhibits and also a viewing tower. Lots of interactive things for the kids to use . Friendly staff. Thought ticket price was great value for money. Got round in about an hour with kids rushing around but think it would be more like 2 if we could take our time!

    Well worth a visit
This museum looks small from the outside, but is far from it, with the added bonus of a brilliant observation tower. We were warmly greeted by staff on the front desk and by Tom once inside the museum, who showed us a very interesting short introduction film. To have such a collection of Lifeboats all in the same building was most impressive. You also have the ability to come and go during the day with your ticket which is perfect if you want to go for lunch or a walk on the beach. A well laid out and very clean museum with enthusiastic friendly staff.

    Great museum.
This is a great museum set out on three floors (with a lift) . It's bit of a Tardis when you get inside. Not only does it contain four sheringham life boats there are sections on the social history of the town. Also currently on the top floor there is an exhibition detailing the offshore wind farm industry. The staff were very welcoming and the entry price of £5 is very good value. I guess is was there for about 1.5 hours. Well worth a visit and great views from the observation tower at the top.

    What a loverly surprise
What do you do at North Sea coastal resort on a grey damp day, visit the local museum? Well I thank the weather gods, we found a really smashing, smart and well curated museum. Manned by the backbone of so many museums and galleries, friendly and helpful local volunteers, The Mo is a real treat.

    Good little museum
This is a very interesting museum only small but full of information . it has three lifeboats to see going down the ages and the oldest for me was the best it was soo big you couldnt imagine taking it across hills back in the day. It told the tale of the fisher folk that lived there to and on an good day you can climb up the tower and see out x

    A 'mustdo' in Sheringham.
Absolute gem of a museum, friendly and knowledgable staff and so much to see. Beautifully collated and engaging. Also lovely little shop too! Climb up to the viewpoint to see the windfarm - well worth the extra steps! Car park almost next door but limited spaces so get there early when the museum opens. Great value for money.

    Great family museum!
What a great museum! A family with two teenagers and also two seniors. A really well presented museum. Lots of things to see about fishing and the local community. Recreated shop fronts and contents from actual Sheringham shops from 50-100 Years ago. A fossil section too! Very interesting for kids and adults. The “things to look out for” sheet for kids was great and they have buckets of toys to borrow for the younger children. We spent two hours looking round. Highly recommended!

    Visit the Mo museum, Sheringham
The museum has 3 former lifeboats as well as fishing boats. There are good displays about local industries such as crab and lobster fishing and boatbuilding. Interesting exhibitions of local artists work. Informative display about offshore windfarm and top floor viewing area with 360 degree views. Note no stairs to the viewing area and it could be closed on very sunny days. Helpful guides will explain all you need to know.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at this lovely museum - like the Tardis, it was much larger inside than it looked from outside and was full of interesting, unusual exhibits grouped and arranged to make them even more interesting, all enhanced by the in-house artist. Exhibits concerned both the town of Sheringham and the surrounding area as well as the RNLI.
The volunteers were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, with lots of extra stories to tell to add to the printed information.
We greatly enjoyed the 'beside the seaside exhibits', swimming costumes through the ages, the huge books. It was really good to see the efforts made by volunteers - especially the little knitted swimming costumes used as bunting, and the full sized costumes made from old knitting patterns. It really felt as though the museum was loved and cared for by a devoted group of volunteers.
Definitely well worth visiting.

We enjoyed looking at the exhibits and taking time to read the information about each one. The whole visit took 2 hours and we had good views of the wind farms at the observatory before leaving. There was plenty to see - maritime, history of Sheringham, geology, wind energy as a renewable source, natural history, people and art. Quite riveting, and worth the £4.50 admission fee.

Sheringham Museum is in a compact Seafront building full of interesting well presented artefacts, short videos and information on the town’s history, the Seaside, RNLI, fishing, the uses of flint which we’ve seen all over our visit to Norfolk. It has a presentation on off shore Wind farms and proposed developments. There is also a top level viewing platform over the town.
I can’t think of a better value Visit in the area. £4.50 per adult, £4 concessions. .
Allow 1 and a half hours.

We love this museum. There is so much to see, including old Sheringham lifeboats, items relating to local heritage and social history, information about wind farms and energy production, and an annual exhibition and display, this year celebrating 100 years of seaside holidays. The volunteers that run the museum are friendly, informative and extremely passionate about Sheringham and its history. If you have any questions, they take pleasure in pointing out where and what to look at to provide the information you need. They are lucky to have such a talented group of volunteers. For instance, ask to see the artwork of Colin Seal, a local man who worked Disney in the States for many years before sharing his creative skills with the Museum and visitors.

This description only scratches the surface of what this museum has to offer. Allow half a day or more to get the most from your visit.

What a fab museum, on several floors but easy to get around. Lots of exhibits covering Sheringham's history the fishing trade and the lifeboats. Also has a section on the offshore the wind farm including spotter scopes for a closer view. There's a live tank with marine critters in, the same critters found here. The viewing tower gives great views of Sheringham's coast.

Really enjoyed this museum, full of local history information and also a viewing area out to sea with the wind farm. A higher tower gives 360 degree views of the town and over the beach/sea.
Wheelchair accessible and really helpful staff in the galleries and shops.
Closed for winter months but well worth a visit when it’s open.

What a beautiful, interesting and well set out gem this place is! Although we've lived in Cromer since the 1980s Sheringham museums have never had a visit. So, with grandsons from France this was rectified. Although the top floor was temporarily closed, there was plenty to fill our time and comment on. A whiff of sadness recalling the now gone Scotter's fishmongers and dear Ron Wright [every cheerful and helpful behind the counter at Blyth & Wright's]. Wonderful volunteers who took time to explain things, exchange memories and amusing banter.
Amazing view from the tower - thankfully a clear day!
