We are regular visitors here as we buy our eggs from the ‘Egg Shed’ on site but it is also a lovely place to stop for a treat. They do very good home made cakes and savouries like sausage rolls and cheese scones. You can sit at the benches outside on a nice day or if it is cold or raining in one of the heated summer houses / sheds or even the horse box! They are all decorated and made to feel homely and snug. They also do occasional special events like Hugge evenings. While you are there pick up some eggs.

A wonderful place for coffee and cake Annabel makes one of the best coffees around accompanied by her own baked cakes her famous lemon drizzle and gluten free friendly almond are fabulous. This is combined in a wonderful parkland setting with unique individual heated sheds for privacy and peacefulness. It cannot be overlooked.

Lovely rural setting. Delicious cake. You can sit outdoors or used one of the quirkily furnished sheds which are heated. A very nice selection of gifts also available with the accent on recycling and sustainability. Just a short walk from the town centre and a few minutes from the Abbey. We'll be back next time we are in the area.

Had to pop into town on a particularly miserable day. Mum came along and suggested that we grab a cuppa. Rather than visit one of the steamed up town centre cafes, we ventured out to the Egg Shed Cafe. A nice 5-10 min stroll past Wymondham Abbey and you're on the edge of the countryside. Once we arrived we were soon ordering our coffee and cake (super-sized slice of delicious homemade cake) and a tasty cappuccino. We then had the choice of cafe sheds. After our walk in the rain, the warm, heated shed was a welcome surprise. Great atmosphere (even in the rain) and something different. Cake and coffee were first class!

Go and buy your eggs from the egg vending machine - great fun and quirky. Then stop for coffee and definitely try the cake, I've not yet found one I don't like! There are often young families here, as it's a safe environment, with sheds, blankets and heaters for when it's chilly, and picnic benches, lawn and trees for shade in the sunshine. The whole experience is well thought out, with quirky paper cups and wooden cutlery. I'm working my way through taking all my friends here, and everyone likes it. Walkable from Wymondham past the abbey, but there is also parking on site.
