Pleasant Seafront dominated by the Colonnade
Jul 2021
We visited Bexhill Beach as the tide we going out. As the waters receded, from the stony beach, sand and rocks were exposed. On a hot mid-week July day nowhere was too busy – we enjoyed playing on the beach, visiting the De La Warr pavilion, and being a human sundial by the Colonnade.

The towers of the Colonnade (situated below the De La Warr Pavilion) can be seen from almost the entire two-mile length of the promenade. Whilst we found out later that there was plenty of parking just of the seafront, we parked at the De La Warr pavilion where you paid for a full day, then re-scanned your Credit Card when leaving and it adjusted the charge for the period you were there.

Great Beach
Aug 2021
The beach is clean and tidy. There is no sand but pebbles only really. Great fun for the kids and no crowds. Very enjoyable beach to visit.

An unexpected delight
Aug 2021
The promenade was a great place for a stroll on a sunny summer evening. Everyone seemed happy, especially the kids. Unlike Hastings, it is away from the main road and lacks cars and noise. The De La Warr pavilion gives it extra presence. A good selection of places to eat.

Beautiful

I really love a stroll along bexhill seafront. It's beautiful, even on a dreary day. I love the exercise items, the play items and even the petanque court. Something for everyone.

Good for walking
Aug 2021
This part of Bexhill Beach is reached through a decorated railway bridge. Although a shingle beach, which is not very wheelchair or puishchair friendly, there is a promenade behind the beach which is shared by walkers, cyclists and joggers and which is good for walking. Although mainly shingle, sand does come to light when the tide goes out and there are some rocks for climbing and sheltering behind, if the wind gets too much. Parking is available at a large shopping area not too far away and another amenity the beach has is a very good dog friendly cafe near to the railway bridge.

Quiet and quaint
Jun 2021 • Solo
I loved this quieter seaside town.
Steeped in Art Deco buildings.
The home of the classic car.
Stroll along the prom, and you may not see many people, my idea of perfect 👍🏻

We are from Bexhill and walking through it along with the promenade it was so sad to see how shabby and unkempt it has become.

Regency gem

I always bypass Hastings & St Leonard's twice a year and head here.
The promenade walk end to end takes around 1.5 hours one way.
The Pavilion is a nice photoshoot and the promenade shows are a nice blend for all ages .
Decent toilet blocks along the route and regular shelters to keep cool. ( Although end of June 21 was blustery) .
Dogs cant go on beach from May onward, but they were happy enough.
