Well signposted off A259. The port is easy to reach, but no rhyme nor reason as to loading. The surroundings are looking quite tired. Staff professional. Used for location of port, not its maintenance tbf, but a spruce up would do wonders.
A very antiquated port for a modern country. The customs / immigration points require significant upgrades. However, the officers were lovely and efficient. They deserve better facilities though. Add on 45-60 mins after docking to clear the port.
The best thing about this place is leaving on the ferry. The owners have just negleted this place for years. But it serves a purpose. Now the one in Dieppe is much nicer. So come on guys brighten this gloomy place up.

Ferry crossing is good but unloading at Newhaven always a nightmare. 4 hours crossing but 1.5 hours getting off the ferry and getting through customs. Very disorganised as always. It's a good thing we live in the next town to get home...
