As one reviewer said, the best thing about the place is the ferry out of it. I normally cross using Eurotunnel, and pay for flexiplus which means you turn up whenever you like, and sit down for coffee and/or get on whichever train is next....More

Well signposted off A259. The port is easy to reach, but no rhyme nor reason as to loading. The surroundings are looking quite tired. Staff professional. Used for location of port, not its maintenance tbf, but a spruce up would do wonders.

A very antiquated port for a modern country. The customs / immigration points require significant upgrades. However, the officers were lovely and efficient. They deserve better facilities though. Add on 45-60 mins after docking to clear the port.

The title says it all really. Very convenient location to reach by road from A27 or A259 coast road. Railway station next to ferry terminal - couldn't be easier.

So far my experience has been excellent. Very courteous and helpful. I arrived early and found the facilities clean and user friendly.

The best thing about this place is leaving on the ferry. The owners have just negleted this place for years. But it serves a purpose. Now the one in Dieppe is much nicer. So come on guys brighten this gloomy place up.

Being used to larger ports like Dover, with some form of facility to walk to this was disappointing. The whole port needs revamping and expanding. Almost an hour to get out of the port. We only live 11 miles away and thought we would be...More

Ferry crossing is good but unloading at Newhaven always a nightmare. 4 hours crossing but 1.5 hours getting off the ferry and getting through customs. Very disorganised as always. It's a good thing we live in the next town to get home...

This is the quickest it has taken to arrive and check-in and drive on to the ferry. Just what we wanted after spending most of the day travelling from the west coast of Wales

We have used this ferry port on several occasions over the past six years. Each time we hope that there might be some improvement, not a chance. You can't even get a bottle of water or a paper or a bar of chocolate. The shore...More
