Several enjoyable visits now to this small and welcoming pub, 6-7 mins walk from Brentwood High Street. Gladly, somewhere to go which is clean and relatively quiet in terms of all round sound levels. No constantly blaring music, no noisy fruit machines, just good beers...More

This is a great pub, frequented by an older crowd but as a young man I felt very welcome. Great facilities for darts, and the couple behind the bar are superb.

This is a friendly, well run pub with excellent beer. A proper traditional pub, something that has become a rarity.

This is one of my favourite Brentwood pubs. Good selection of real ales, well kept, and always well conditioned. Well worth a visit.

Proper 'retro tack' without realising it! Fake plastic beams but a genuine pub with genuine people and lovely welcoming hosts. Like the good book says (i.e. The Good Beer Guide) "a good selection of real ales, in an area where choice is fairly limited" We...More
