This beautifully restored historic building set in a lovely park is well worth a visit. It is also a great setting for a wedding venue.

We visited during the heritage open days so entry was free. The house looks beautiful from the outside, but inside was a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the rooms are beautifully restored, while others are empty modern rooms with nothing to view. I had to ask how to find the basement rooms and was told to follow the... More

We had a lovely day in the sun, we loved seeing the flowers and floral designs in the house for the queens birthday, the grounds are beautiful.

We had a good few hours at friendsfest. Hylands house and park is really lovely. Very nice place to visit and walk around. Friendsfest however was ok, I suppose I was expecting a bit more, most of the staff were fun but considering the cost of the tickets it felt very very rushed and we were only allowed a few... More

We visited here and was delighted to find that you only had to pay for admission to the house. You buy your tickets in the gift shop, which is full of lovely things. The house itself is just wonderful. The decor has been replicated and it's fascinating to see how this was done, you can watch the Dvd in the... More

This lovely house is well worth a visit; it has taken many years of hard work and money to restore aided by the Friends of Hylands House. It has good amenities. It has superb gardens which are used for a great many attractions and is also a great wedding venue. Considering it proximity to the A12 it is a peaceful... More

I have been at Hylands House in a few conferences. Reasonable rates and good service. The views outside are outstanding. Staff is polite. Crockery/cutlery very clean. Food average.
