Lived in Chelmsford all my life, never been!! Small but perfectly formed, loads to do for the kids, quizzes, reading, scenarios! My 8 year really enjoyed herself. Plus no entry fee, donations welcome, good selection of items to buy.

The museum has a small footprint, but its all value. There are extra activities for younger visitors. The mock crime scene, DNA, fingerprinting, and uniform displays allow visitors to really engage in police history.
