Cluetopia is an exhilarating live escape game situated in Clacton. Locked in a room with the rest of your team you have an hour to decipher the challenges and puzzles to make your escape. Never been to any escape rooms before and being dropped off outside, it was a complete surprise. We were welcomed at the door by Zara who immediately put us at ease and explained what would happen. She was extremely professional, polite and showed passion and enthusiasm which made our experience even better. It was absolutely fantastic and I can't stop talking about it. We did 3 rooms, one after the other, and we loved every minute. Recommend to anyone who loves puzzles, problem solving and playing games.

Had a wonderful afternoon with my wife and kids doing the Race against Time room. It was really good with lots of interesting and clever puzzles to perform.
Another one that we managed to complete! A massive thanks to the excellent Zara who was our host!!
Also, we completed The Damned room a few weeks ago but was unfortunately unable to leave a review. That was genuinely brilliant, with another fantastic host called Ash.
Could not recommend the rooms or the hosts enough.

Zara was AMAZING, she was very welcoming from the moment we arrived.
Zara was very clear with her instructions and made us feel at ease throughout even when we asked her to help us by turning the light on so we could climb through the tunnel at the start.
Zara had a laugh with us even when we were too small to get on the seats.
She was was very patient with us allowed us to do things in our own time and accommodated us where she could.
It was a great experience as a family/friend group unit. We went away wanting to try out other escape rooms.
We came away laughing and remembering different bits throughout the night.
Zara tried to scare my partner and was greeted by being shrugged off. She put up with multiple screams and laughter throughout and probably a little deaf as we were quite loud as a unit. Zara played along and listened to our banter/waffle and recommended different experiences that we could do as a family as well as a friend group and we are definitely wanting to do more escape rooms as half of us had never done escape rooms before.
An overall brilliant experience which left us wanting more. Totally recommended and thank you again Zara for being a great host.

10/10 experience. We played the damned the puzzles keep you on your toes but not incredibly hard so you can’t solve them. Zara our host was great and informed us well and made our experience a lot better.

Are the escape rooms suitable for 9 year olds?

Hi Kayla, yes of course! All of our rooms are suitable (excluding. The Damned which is our horror room) - all ages are welcome. However if anyone in the group is younger than 12 then there must be an adult playing as part of the group. :)

Yes games are paid for at the time of booking. 5+ receive a discounted rate at the time of booking. Alternatively you can book for the minimum number(2 people currently £36) if not sure on amount of people in your team. This will reserve your slot and then just contact us to add additional people.
