We visited on a non-operating day but were still able to wander around Ropley Station, view the engines and admire the gorgeous topiary on the platforms. We also visited Alresford station where most of the coaching stock is maintained.

Lovely sunny day, scenery and friendly, helpful staff. A great day out for young and old. Lots to do along the line, walks, picnics, shopping in Alton and Alresford recommended.

Nostalgic and peaceful locations serviced by historic steam trains. Accessible by road or rail. Parking I found was not a problem.

There are approximately 350 tickets for each RAT. There are three people working behind the bar throughout the evening so queues are not an issue.
