About
We opened our doors to the public 40 years ago (1981) and were one of the first-ever farm parks in the country. We are now open all year round, with a massive indoor play barn with different areas for different age ranges. There’s lots of outdoor play as well, including the Little Farmers Driving School. Throughout the day there are animal handling and feeding activities for children to get involved in. Meerkat Mansion is our latest addition making a Farm-Tastic day out! We are so proud that we have people visit us from all over the country, employ over 60 people, run a quality restaurant – welcoming thousands of families 7 days a week and have won several awards. We hope you have a wonderful day and a massive thank you from us for making it all possible!

- Alison PBasingstoke, United Kingdom121 contributionsChristmas experienceThe Christmas experience was lovely. The elves and Mother Christmas worked so hard. Im undecided if it was good value compared other Christmas events we went to but my kids loved it so that’s the main thing. They got to decorate a gingerbread, see Father Christmas, make reindeer food and choose a toy in the gift shop.Visited December 2022Written 28 December 2022
- Seb OWaterlooville, United Kingdom388 contributionsA super farm to visit with excellent animal interactions. My family and I had an absolutely excellent day at Finkley Down farm. The variety of activities was brilliant. It wasn’t too busy so we didn’t have to queue for anything even on a weekend. I thought the animals were extremely engaging and our interactions were brilliant and memorable with them. I would highly recommend and I know we’ll be back before long.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 April 2023

- Rachel K1 contributionDefinitely worth a visitI absolutely love Finkley Farm. Me, my partner and daughter go there all the time. There is so much to do, we usually spend the whole day there, it's not just the animals, there's soft play indoors and outdoors play area, mini jeeps to drive. There is a beautiful music park. On holidays they usually have entertainment which is included in the price. Very good value for money for what you get. Even when the weather is awful we still go and stay indoors where the soft play is. The cafe is lovely and unlike other soft play the seating area for the adults is always so clean thanks to Sharon who never seems to stop cleaning. I think all the staff are wonderful there but wanted to mention Sharon as I don't think she gets the recognition she deserves, mainly because she keeps herself to herself as she is so busy but she does such a wonderful job and I really do appreciate her. I can guarantee you have never been to a soft play area that is so clean. I don't know what we would do without finkley farm, it is for all ages as well. Definitely worth a visitVisited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 August 2023
- Thetfamily1 contributionOutstandingFinkley down farm is our favourite place to bring our family of family of 5. From the musical area for our 3 year old, to throughly to the attic us play farm for our sweet 6 year old, and the soft play for our nearly 8 month old baby girl. We especially love looking at the animals and feeding the goats were Olivia was helpful and lovely, kindly tolerating our shenanigans. Can’t wait to come back again soon!Visited August 2023Written 24 August 2023

- Travellingtimbo2kSittingbourne, United Kingdom16 contributionsFantastic little gem! This place is fantastic, what a gem! We took our 2 year old not having been here before or knowing about it beforehand, and what a pleasant find! There is so much to do for children here, both with animals and activities, our little boy loved it and hasn’t stopped talking about how he fed the goats and sat on the yellow digger! The soft play area is spacious with multiple different themed cages for the children to run around with ample seating throughout, nothing feels thrown in, it’s all very well spaced. The cafe served decent lunch and plenty of options for the kids which is a must. The animals seem content and are happy to assist in emptying the feed pots you can buy on the entrance to the Farm. The little goats were my boys favourite and it’s made his day getting to feed them from his hand after being initially nervous but was soon wanting to go back to give them more. The outside areas have plenty of activities, trampolines, the bouncy floor (which was fun for us as parents as well as the kids), a mini ride on car area, multiple wooden diggers to sit in, climbing frames and to top it off a cool little mini crazy golf course! Great little set up and we will be returning when we are next in the area again!Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 November 2023

This place is a complete rip off. In short, it's a mess.
The pens are all overgrown and filthy. The general park is tired and old. Overgrown with stinging nettles everywhere. Scaffolding and fences with things closed off that wernt listed on the website anywhere. Sticky play equipment and battered mini golf course on uneven ground. Dirty trampolines and closed off play equipment. As for the cafe staff.....so so rude! They don't utter a word to you. Can barely look up off the floor. We felt so disappointed after paying £45 pounds amd travelling an hour for effectively an indoor soft play, a messy outdoor park and some animals pens that looked tired and old. I complained at the desk and they wernt really interested.
Terrible place. Do not reccomend!

Lovely farm. Grandchildren loved it. Lots of animals and things to see. They loved the play areas and massive air trampoline. We bought an icecream and that was really yummy.Being disabled it was great having lots of seats all around the farm for me to sit and rest.

Visited with our almost 2yr old in Feb 2022 and had a great time.
-Lots of animals to feed, including goats, sheep, alpacas.
-Many more animals to observe, including pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, geese, meerkats, horses, donkeys, etc.
-Fun indoor soft play and an entertainer (who blows giant bubbles).
-Big outdoor park, but we didn’t get a chance to try it out.
-Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and some greenery too, if you wanted to bring your own picnic.
Would imagine the sweet spot age for a place like this is 3-5.
I’ve not given 5 stars because the food was pricey and our chicken burger was horrible. We’ll bring our own food next time.

Are dogs allowed?

This is a working farm, with many animals, some the dog could attack, others that will attack the dog so at a wild guess I would say definitely not

I think it's about £9 for an adult, not sure about children as my grandson is under 2 it's free. I bought a season ticket as I've been back several times now, my grandson loves it.
Can anyone tell me please if there are pony rides At Finkley. I have looked on the website but cannot see anything.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, parking is free. There is parking on a rough gravel area close to the main building and excess parking in a field, so plenty of space.

Once you have paid entry, the only cost is for the cafe and gift shop and bags of food for the animals can be purchased.

Not a question but a review that I could not load.
What an amazing day. Tractors, playground, piglets, fantastic calf feeding with Maddie & Joanna and to top it off the best time ever with Caroline in the reptiles centre where we got to hold a massive 8 foot snake. The kids loved it but dad was quite scared. Well worth our annual membership. Guy
