Come and Join us here in Otterbourne Hampshire, when the weather is good we like to be outside trekking or walking Alpacas. This allows you the general public to come and get up close to these beautiful animals, hear them hum to each other, feel how soft their fleece is and look into their big brown eyes! It also serves us a purpose as we get them used to people and being handled on the halters,

I went on the Alpaca walk this morning with my mum and dad. We had such a fantastic time! The alpacas are so, so beautiful. They even have little baby alpacas that are just the cutest little things! The walk itself is very relaxing and scenic. My mum was concerned beforehand that we'd be walking 100miles but it's not a... More

You are greeted on arrival by the host Derek whose friendly welcome starts the day off well. His enthusiastic nature and wealth of knowledge makes it such a pleasurable experience. The alpacas are obviously well cared for and are happy in their environment. The walk along the river was a joy and learning about the alpacas and their ways is... More

A really lovely day learning about these beautiful animals and then walking with them along the riverbank. The beautiful sunshine and autumn colours made the day and the small group meant we could always hear the interesting, informative and often amusing stories Derek was telling. The alpacas we walked all had different personalities and we got to lead them, "talk"... More

A really pleasant way to spend a warm autumn morning. Derek is clearly very passionate about these animals, and is a warm and engaging host. The information he gave never felt dry or dull, as he interwove it with his own story of learning to farm these animals, and the experiences he had along the way. We went on a... More

What an amazing and special thing to be part of. My daughter is 9, she and I loved every minute of it. We had a lovely walk along the river Itchen after hearing about the Alpacas. Later we fed and watered the Alpacas. This experience I will treasure.

Everything about this was really enjoyable. Derek and Hazel are great hosts and Derek provides fantastic insight into everything you need to know about alpacas, all presented in an easy and entertaining style. After a 15-20 minute introductory talk you get paired of with your alpaca and set off for a walk along the bank of the Itchen Navigation which... More

Easy to find directions. Derek the host waiting for us at the gates. Parking on site. Enjoyed the informative chat before we set off and the friendly banter along the way. Lovely relaxed walk beside the tranquil setting of the river Itchen navigation. Surprised how placid the boys were - credit to the owners. Swopping alpacas, stopping to let them... More

We had a brilliant morning walking, feeding and learning about alpacas. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming from the offset and were very knowledgeable about their animals. We learnt lots of interesting information about where alpacas came from and the challenges of farming them in the UK... his delivery was brilliant! Very funny and suitable for all ages. During...
