    Great aerospace museum
What a great museum! What stands out is the expertise of the volunteers. They are so knowledgeable about aerospace, some having worked in the industry. The simulators (three were in operation, Harrier, Lightning and Concorde) were great fun, although they are so hard to fly without the nearby instructor. We also learnt a lot about Samuel Franklin Cody, who pretended to be the son of Buffalo Bill Cody and was for real one of the pioneers of flight in the UK. The commercial airline cockpit was great too. We even got treated to documentary films while we were eating our cake. Want to know how a bypass engine works, go to this museum.

    Brilliant volunteers and interesting exhibits
Absolutely superb volunteers whose enthusiasm is infectious. We went today with our two and five year old, a bit unsure if they’d find it interesting, but the volunteers really engaged with the children, answered questions and brought it to life. Our son especially enjoyed the spitfire simulator and looking inside the cockpit. We will be visiting again - thank you so much!

    Excellent visit
Amazing small museum, run by volunteers, most ex-avaiators full of brilliant stories. Caters for all, from kids to retirees - well worth a visit. Spotlessly clean, with an eye for detail. 3 x flight sims to try. Free, so please make sure you donate to support this amazing place !

Plenty to be enjoyed and learned
This is a great museum for adults and children alike. It's not a large site but there's certainly plenty in it. Outside there's a very decent-sized array of planes and helicopters. Inside is a wealth of technology from a wide range of points in the history of aviation engineering. There's also three flight simulators on PCs, varying from simple for small children to a larger unit in a cockpit. I have been taking my children to FAST since they were 4 and they enjoy it just as much now they're 13 and 17. If the weather allowed and staff were available, they've sat in the cockpit of a Harrier jump-jet and two helicopters. Always a pleasure to visit, look and learn.

    Small but mighty!
Excellent museum, lots of aviation and local history and artefacts that are well laid out and displayed. Volunteers are exceptional - their knowledge and willingness to help are amazing. Flight simulator was a great hit. Small shop is excellent and well stocked. Outside picnic benches overlooking Farnborough airport - loved watching the planes come I ! Small basic cafe which is well priced.

Visited this museum on the strength of other reviews and we were in the area for a few hours and it was no disappointment. Staffed by enthusiastic volunteers, lots of interesting items inside and out and a nice, reasonably priced tea room. We were talked through some of the exhibits by people who were directly involved with the items in the past so had some personal stories and experience which definitely added a lot of value. All in all, some very interesting history lessons to be had here. Plus, they've got a couple of pretty good flight simulators for young and grown up kids.

A small but excellent museum packed with items of interest that any aviation addict/enthusiast will enjoy.
Firstly, a big thank you and well done to all the volunteers who give up their time so that others can enjoy the museum. Well done.
Next to the outstanding exhibits that clearly show that the UK was second to none in the development of aviation to the level it is today. It's such a pity that funds have not been received that could be used to house the static displays indoors.
Makes one proud to be British and to have the heritage we have and to know that there still are volunteers that give up their time for others to benefit.

Brilliant hand crafted simulatar for the under eights. Visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon, five adults and a five and seven year old. Something of interest for everyone. Volunteer staff highly knowledgeable and added so much to the visit. Hats off to the chap in the freezing Cody outbuilding who started the engine so we could see how it worked. Will return when children slightly taller as over 8s can access the full size simulators which proved so enjoyable.

This is a fantastic museum with so much to see, staffed by some very nice and knowledgeable volunteers. There are aircraft outside the main museum building, some of which you can see inside. Amongst the many exhibits in an outside hangar, there's a replica of one of Cody's aircraft, a pioneer of aviation, and lots of interesting information and pictures about his endeavours and achievements.

The best part of the visit for our family was the opportunity to have a go on the range of flight simulators they have. The highlight of our day was when (for a very reasonable donation), my son got the chance to have a go on the fantastic Lightning Flight Simulator, knowledgeably guided by a very helpful, volunteer expert. The experience lasted a good 15 minutes and there were some big smiles afterwards. There was also a Concorde flight simulator which my adult daughter was thrilled to try too!

The museum is manned by volunteers who were all helpful and informative. It has a good mix of aircraft, aviation history and information on the airfield at Farnborough. Great model of Cody's aeroplane. Quite a few families with children were also visiting.

This is a really interesting place to visit, free parking and entry was a bonus. We didn't know what to expect at first, we thought we'd be driving out again after a few minutes, how wrong can you be as we spent well over 4 hours there, taking in the history and looking at the exhibits. Knowledgeable volunteers were on hand to answer any questions and talk about the exhibits. The absolute highlight was being able to try and fly the simulators under the guidance of the experts. The graphics on the Harrier simulator are amazing and a credit to the volunteer who designed and wrote the programme for it. Also got to try the Lightning and Concorde simulators, I had 15 mins on the Lightning, but never mastered it!!!! I would have liked to try the Spitfire, but it was for children only, not big kids. Well done everyone involved with FAST, you do a great job.

Difficult to pick just one thing as there are so many things to see. Fascinating histories and so much of it happened at Farnborough.

An absolute must if you are an aviation history buff, and every time I go there, there appears more to see.

The museum is staffed by extremely approachable, knowledgeable and helpful volunteer staff who are happy to share their knowledge and stories - a fine place to visit and I guarantee that you will come away having learnt something new.
