The Fleet Pond Restoration Project is run in partnership between Hart District Council, Fleet Pond Society, Natural England and the Environment Agency. To help restore Fleet Pond Nature Reserve to a healthier and more valuable amenity for wildlife and people. The sites main car park is situated just off of Cove Road (A3012) it is FREE to park here. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

walked all the way around the pond on one trip and walked to some woodland near the pond on another trip where there were birch and pine trees with ferns covering the ground and sat on a fallen tree and enjoyed the natural setting

This place is amazing.
I traveled there half expecting to find a little pond with a few frogs and a newt in it………
THIS IS NOT A POND!!!!
It’s serious lee large, even with those special boots on that fisherman wear, one could not walk through it.
I saw so much wildlife (too many to list) but I saw birds (winged), ants, fish (in water),several deer and a wallaby.
I couldn’t find a public lavatory in the “pond grounds “ so I had to release myself behind a tree (into a Tesco bag).
I must say how helpful the park ranger was when I showed him the contents of my bag and asked him what was the best thing to do with them. He said that I should either take them back home and destroy them or leave the bag in a supermarket.
Lovely day out.
Well done to all the volunteers who have made this journey a success.Hampshire is a very nice community (quite posh) and I anticipate many more visitors coming to visit this “pond “.

We tried for 30 minutes to get to this place and it was a disaster, dead ends, road blocks, new developments being built. Don't bother

I don't know what i was expecting, and the weather didn't help, but we didn't really enjoy our visit. There are many great lakes in this country, and this isn't one of them.

My friend invited me here to meet up, watch your sat nav carefully if you're arriving via the M3 or you'll the miss the turn for it.
Once you arrive, after a short walk through the woods, you'll be greeted by one heck of a view, I went "this isn't a pond - it's a bloomin lake" of which it is a pond, I'll let you search out why.
This place has free parking, the road is full of holes so don't go racing down the road and it'll take about 60 - 90 mins to walkaround - you can take different routes which are well mapped and signposted, there's even places you can setup for the day and during awesome sunny weather - this would be a great suggestion.
The train station literally sits next to it, and you can access it from the station car park. I don't jog, but I'd suggest it for joggers as it's flat, the ground isn't hard and we met lots of them!
Fleet centre is about a 10 minute drive from the pond and there's a pub nearby if you need refreshments after a long walk.

Gorgeous scenery, useful bird information to educate, lovely close interaction with birds, quiet and calm woodland walk, fun swing rope for the kids (or adults). Find the painted rock, hide it and share it on social media!

Where is the best place to park to reach Fleet Pond?
Sue B
London, UK21 contributions
You can park for free in car park - avoid if good weather or get there early. Table Crow have given you directions. When you park, can go around lake or over fields and another section of woods. Just be wary of cattle grazing but everyone well dog walkers will tell you where they are. Service station is currently closed.
can I swim here?
