Sammy Miller MBE is a motorcycling legend, 11 times British Champion, winner of over 1400 events and still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world, including factory racers and exotic prototypes, with the collection constantly evolving as new bikes are acquired. There are over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in four galleries - one of which showcases the fabulous Norton Collection. The museum is set within an attractive courtyard, with tea rooms, craft shops and children's play area. It is also home to many chickens, donkeys, goats, alpacas and two aviaries.

It is the history of motorcycles, from racing to the family transport, before cars were common, to leisure and adventure. Engineering tricks to gain more speed or reliability, many still being used on vehicles today as new ideas. Its the quality of the restorations with the dedication and knowledge of the staff. An interesting and fun day. A snack or... More

What a place. An absolute mecca for all bike fans. Seeing the man himself in his workshop and walking amongst his life's achievements as well as some of the most amazing restorations we have ever seen. This should be on your bucket list...

I really wasn't aware of the size of the collection and variety of machinery here. We didn't have anything like long enough to take it all in but had a great time. Very reasonable entry costs and pleasant welcome in. We got to say hello to Sammy and it was great. Will go back again sometime .

I had the opportunity to visit the museum on 29/01 as I was staying nearby for one night. It was truly amazing walking around the extensive (350 I believe) collection of motorcycles and other items. It was interesting to see a number of restored types that I had owned at different stages. There is also a good quality cafeteria on... More

An excellent visit for the motorcycle enthusiast. £7:50 entry fee with over 300 motorcycles to see of various stages of renovation. I've really enjoyed my time in this museum. There is a small cafe serving teas coffees light snacks and good meals.

For anyone who enjoys the history of the motorcycle, this is the place to be. Sammy Miller is a great British icon in the motorcycle world. Step back in time to view motorcycles that have raced the TT since 1907. Beautifully displayed on two floors with avid detail of each bike. Old seeing machines and beautiful radios add an ambience... If you are interested in motorcycles you will find something to spark your imagination. Sammy has a superb collection of bikes both competition and commuter, from the very start of motorcycling. Hot and cold refreshments or just a cupper are on site, also craft shops and a children's play area. Here's a tip, if you are interested in motorcycles I... More

We were passing and got the chance to stop as there was a car sale on,we got a bargain and decided to go around the museum too. Even if you are not into bikes there is more here to see, the story of one mans great achievements is thrilling, daring and it draws you in. I also found a corner... More

Huge range of motorcycles from all over the world and well presented. The museum came to life because of the way things were laid out with Sammy's life story and other exhibits. We came across the museum by chance but were so glad we did, definetly not to be missed and can be enjoyed by all.
