About
Sammy Miller MBE is a motorcycling legend, 11 times British Champion, winner of over 1400 events and still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world, including factory racers and exotic prototypes, with the collection constantly evolving as new bikes are acquired. There are over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in four galleries - one of which showcases the fabulous Norton Collection. The museum is set within an attractive courtyard, with tea rooms, craft shops and children's play area. It is also home to many chickens, donkeys, goats, alpacas and two aviaries.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On my bucket list for years - and well worth the wait😀. Hundreds of immaculate- and all working - bikes from 1898 onwards. Some names I’ve never seen or heard of. What a tribute to this wonderful champion who is still leading his personal museum. Thanks to collections manager Tracey for making my trip special😀. What a dream job!!!

Reception was cheerful informative and helpful. The whole display was superb, informative and interesting. I have some mobility issues, but I was able to cover the whole museum, although some help is available.

We've been a few times now, but it just keeps getting better. It's a fascinating museum, well worth a visit and you don't need to know about bikes to enjoy it. There are over 500 bikes on display, which are well laid out, it's run by volunteers who are more than happy to chat to you, and you'll probably see Sammy Miller himself, who is still working on bikes. There is also other memorabilia which is interesting to see.

Really enjoyed the museum. A classic collection of known and obscure brands displayed in a beautiful environment. Especially liked that you can get up close to each motorcycle and inspect every detail. Every bike is restored to original condition that reveals an earlier time period. Staff very friendly and helpful.

If you love motorbikes you're in for a treat. Two floors of working/vintage bikes through the years.
It was worth the money however being in a wheelchair we couldn't get to the second floor as there are only stairs and no lifts. Stairs looked very steep and as neither my husband nor myself can climb them we missed out on a lot of bikes. We were given a reduction in cost because of us being unable to see everything which I thought was generous of them.
We then went to get coffee and cake. My wheelchair could not get up the step. A very nice lady from inside the cafe came and took our order and brought it out to us.
All the gift shops had a high step to get into so it was a no go for us. This did spoil our vist a bit.
Overall a really good visit, just wish we had the opportunity to see all of the displays.

Are dogs allowed?
SammyMiller
New Milton, UK
Dogs are not allowed inside the Museum unless they are working dogs. However dogs are allowed on the Museum Complex but must be kept on leads at all times as our chickens and guinea fowl run freely. There are plenty of areas to exercise a dog and benches in the Courtyard and outside the Tea Rooms where you may sit with your pet.
