Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a welcoming team who have continued to work hard throughout lockdown to host online classes and workshops. So excited for their open-air comedy and music weekend coming up at Rockbourne Roman Villa in May - I've missed live events!

Small venue but good evening, easy to get to & park, I was amazed at what this little venue did, day classes different subjects, film shows, a wide variety of live shows. A good evening & a nice surprise to find it in my home town, there is a brochure published of all forthcoming events that is easy to obtain & you can book online.

I visited Forest Arts Centre for a 1-day craft workshop, to make a leather shoulder bag. Online booking was easy, and a reminder/information e-mail was sent a few days before the event.
I received a friendly welcome when I arrived, and it was easy to find the workshop room. The course was interesting, well-organized and taught, with a small group size ensuring plenty of help and guidance from the tutor, and I'm very pleased with my finished item.
I bought a drink in the café at lunchtime; this was very reasonably priced, and a kind volunteer took the trouble to boil a kettle to top up my tea to fill a large mug.
The Centre car park is small. I was able to park easily as the workshop started early in the day; however if you were attending a later event, it would be useful to research alternative parking before visiting.
I will definitely consider booking another craft workshop at Forest Arts in future.

Not much larger than a church hall, this centre provides a venue for a wide range of performing arts. Our first ever visit was to see a stand-up comedian on a UK tour. On arrival we passed through a throng of smokers loitering outside. They were close enough to the automatic doors to have caused them to remain open and their smoke was drifting in.
Inside we asked where we needed to be at reception as there were a lot of people around but no clear indication where to go. A volunteer said to go into the bar (which was right in front of us) have a drink and relax. The bar was crowded and noisy with nowhere left to sit down so we returned to the foyer and were subsequently joined by many others.
About ten minutes before the advertised start time I observed a queue forming with people disappearing to the right at the far end of the bar area. Assuming this was the entrance we eased our way through the crowd and entered the small theatre. Surprisingly the clearly numbered seats were tiered but very close together. Not quite squashed in like sardines but leaving little room for manoeuvring. However, there was a good view of centre stage which was conveniently where the microphone stand had been positioned. During the interval we remained in our seats rather than face the throng at the bar.
We would go back again, if there was something that interested us, but not available at the larger venues closer to our home address (Bournemouth).

Attended a great show put on by the singers and dancers from Barton Court Studio. I’d never been to the theatre there before and it is very intimate (if a little basic in form of seating) and you do feel close to the performers. As you enter the building there is a cafeteria selling cakes and light refreshments etc including alcohol and also ice cream. From reviewing their calendar of events they have a broad range of shows catering for a variety of tastes. Hope to return soon.

Forest Arts has something for everyone. From regular classes for drama, art, reading for all ages, to art exhibitions, drama productions and regular film screenings, it is a little gem. They have visiting well known comedians too. Easy to get to and with excellent disabled facilities, it is worth checking out what is on. You will be impressed. The staff are helpful and there is a great cafe/ bar area.

As part of New Forest food festival saw George Egg tonight. Superbly witty, great entertainment. My first visit to the Arts Centre and it won't be my last. Friendly staff, a great community space and lots of good stuff to go and see.

Popped along to see Gyles Brandreth talk and was really surprised to see a lovely relaxed setting to have a drink whilst waiting for the show to begin. All the staff there are so polite and friendly too.
