We are one of the UK's leading museums for British military aviation history. Boasting 40 fixed wing and rotary aircraft on site, we have fascinating exhibits and a wonderful 'Apache Cafe' looking out over the busy Middle Wallop Army Air Corps airfield.

My husband has been taking our two boys (4yr and 2yr) for the last year, while I was working weekends. I have to admit I always felt a little glad to not be dragged along as I presumed that the museum would not be something...More

If you are an Army Aviation enthusiast, then it should be perfect. Looks good for kids, but to be honest I found most of it a bit old and possibly out of date. That said, I do appreciate that it's difficult to run such a...More

Really good museum, interesting exhibits everywhere. For anyone with an interest in aviation this is a place you can easily spend a long time looking around - there are several good interactive displays too (they all cost £1) and for example allow you to land...More

This was the second time we visited and it was still engaging and interesting. The admission price had gone up but that was expected, still not too bad. The displays have not changed a great deal though I was disappointed that they have done away...More

It was ok for a few hours. Some nice diaramas although some are looking a bit old. There are a couple of helicopters that kids can sit in and press buttons, but would have been nice to have some more interactive stations. Unfortunately all the...More

We visited here while on holiday in the area with our 11 and 9 year old sons. My youngest was less than keen at the idea of going but by the end even he was a convert. Lots to look at and learn about. They...More

Stop at the Apache Cafe whenever we're passing. Friendly staff and great value food and drinks. Real home cooking.

Only guide dogs I am sorry to say. There is a picnic area where if one of you is not interested you could possibly take a dog on a lead. There is not much shade so a big NO to leaving a dog in your car. Museums and dogs... More

No, no rides at Museum, all displays are static. You will see a few helicopters flying from the next door Army Air Corp base. Helicopters are expensive to fly - I think some flying schools give experience flights but at a... More
