Bustle and busy over Easter weekend. A very popular pub restaurant for locals and visitors. Parking can be tricky when very crowded, but most of the time it is okay. Menu is quite interesting and food is generally good, but lacks the wow factor. Very...More

This was a late choice as we had not been expecting to be free on Mothers Day. But due to the bad weather cancelling my sons football match we had an opportunity to come out for a Sunday Mothers Day early Dinner. We were lucky...More

We come across this pub after walking the dogs for 3 miles, the food here is really nice and they always have plenty of barrels of real ale to pick from. Well worth a visit, also lovely open fire..

This is a tiny pub with a big garden. So on a fine day you'll have no problem finding a table. But on a drizzly Sunday in July - beware at 12pm you may struggle inside. Views from the garden are fantastic. Inside the pub...More

It's a well known fact that if we could live at the Royal Oak, we would and we would get very fat from a constant diet of bacon and cheese quiche. We go there at least once a month, often for our Birthday Club of...More

Its difficult for us to adequately describe just how truly wonderful our stay in the shepherds huts at the Royal Oak was. From start to end, the owners- Jenna, Pauline and Neil, could not have done more to make our stay more comfortable. Every detail...More

Walked up from Brockenhurst. Kids on bikes. Beautiful route up through the forest. Traditional pub with plenty of covered outside space. Friendly staff. Have been before and will be back again.
