but watched. Panoramic windows to view the slopes whilst having a coffee. Lovely fire places. When its hot in the summer I like to stand on the balcony over the slopes to cool off and in the winter the restuarant is nice and cosy.

Lessons well organised, kids loved it and learned loads - expensive but worth it

The Snow Centre is a stunning building with ample free car parking. The snow slope is average size served by 2 poma lifts, one lift is designated an express lift for experienced skiers/boarders and not for beginners / small children- in principle this is a great idea but in practice doesn't work because beginners / small children were still using... I have been a number of times on a thursday evening for the Freestyle Rookie Clinic. It is awesome and the Coaches are brilliant, on the ski side both Simon Stephens and Luke McCarthy put so much time effort into making sure everyone in the lesson gets the most out of it (with a bit of video analysis thrown in... This was my first experience in a “snow” dome. Is the snow real? Well yes technically is it, but if felt a bit strange / artificial. Learning to ski / snowboard on this type of snow is a lot easier than the real thing, but that may help in learning technique and building up confidence etc. I had a 2... More

Excellent facility, the only down side for us was that we had specifically travelled from Isle of Wight to brush up on our skiing before going on holiday, the Thursday was fine but on the Friday the slope was limited for use as they had built ramps etc for the evening skiers. Would go again but would avoid Friday.

The first thing to say about the Snow Centre is that is architecturally superb. A magnificent spacious staircase with wonderful windows, that would not be out of place in a modern City finance office, leads up from the ground floor to the skiing and then on to the bar. All the materials and fittings are first class; this is not... More

We traveled to Hemel Heapstead to try some new boots and new mojos. We were impressed by the organisation of the slope. Beginners on one side off the main slope and a faster lift for intermediates. The slope wasn't crowed even on a Saturday in November. The equipment was good and the staff helpful. The only issue was the slope... More

As two ladies over 40 who had both been snow boarding over 8 yrs ago and had several years of trips to the Alps behind us and had moved onto the Caribbean in the winter we decided a trip to the Snow Centre and a lesson to regain confidence and possibly refresh our love for the snow. We arrived for... More

If you want to ski or board on snow and avoid the agony of outdoor ski slopes then this is it for the south east of England. This monopoly on the snow means the service is below par, as is the food and safety. A lot of people are allowed on the snow to freeski despite being dangerously out of... More
