Arrived at just after one o'clock so had time for a quick snack before going on a guided tour of the castle. Really interesting guide told great tales of the owners over many years. Lots of weapons and suits of armour around the place. Really good gardens with lots to see and do. Some of the tulips are a bit... More

The house (a castellated Manor House) provides guided tours round some of the rooms. The tour is around 45 minutes long and is interesting and gives a good amount of detail on the house and its history. The gardens are varied, with some very formal parts mixed with more open land. The sunken garden is worth searching out - just... More

This is a private house with some great history and interesting connections. The house is nice, but the gardens are absolutely wonderful, clearly showing significant investment in time and money.

This was a planned visit and it was well worth it. Timed our arrival to go on the tour of the house. The guide was very informative and included children in what was going on, there was pictures of items for them to look for as they went around the house. The gardens were amazing, something different at every turn.... More

My boyfriend and I passed Hampton Court Castle on our way back from Powys to Oxford and thought we'd pop in for a stroll around the gardens. We went on a sunny and crisp October day so everything was so colourful - there is a lot to see and we ended up walking around for a few hours. They have... More

Arts and crafts movement to the fore with added modern twist of interesting water features and pavilions. The restored Sunk Garden is a joy to behold and a proper maze leds to a fairy tale turret with views over the whole garden. This is a garden that would hold its interest throughout the year and currently hosts a delightful tulip... More

£13 per person to get in to see a handful of rooms (one empty except for about 50 chairs stored in it) with what looks like props that you would see at a theme park including stone walls which is actually painted on, very fake, very boring and very disappointing! Do not waste your money going. Go to Eastnor Castle... More

Fun day out with 2 neices (1 and 4) walked around the gardens. Not into the house today. Spent 4 hours just outside. They had bunnies for the children to find, there's a river, swings, mini zip wire, gardens, waterfall and stepping stones plus of course the maze.

Fascinating history including the sad period of decline in the early part of thex20th century. Well worth a via. Food pricey it must be said.

A great place to visit for all the family with dogs allowed outside only. Once you're past the National trust annual membership dealers the visit is great. Lovely gardens and walks although be prepared to queue if you want anything to eat Well worth a visit
