Covid seems to have improved Standalone! We used to be annual ticket holders but I always felt disheartened and frustrated when the cost add ons racked up inside, the cafe, the toy shop, the rides that kids relentlessly scream to go on, it all used to feel rather unfair having shelled out a reasonable sum to get in. However... we have just come back from an afternoon and it was wonderful. There are fewer people allowed in so its less chaotic, there are no additional costs inside that children are likely to beg for, the animals are all as beautiful as ever and the playground well staffed and kit cleaned frequently. Well done team you're doing a great job! At this price, and with no add ons inside I would definitely come again.…

I took my own children to Stand-alone in the 90s and remember it as a lovely place to see and interact with farm animals up close. Returning with my grandson I was expecting that precautions against Covid would affect the routes for visitors but not that the whole experience would be such a let down. We saw some sheep, a couple of goats, 3 alpacas and some pigs. There were donkeys and a shire horse but they were hidden in their stables and the ducks and chickens were also in outbuildings and not easily viewed by small children. The play area was swarming with children as was the courtyard where you could have an ice cream or drink purchased through the cafe window after a long queue. Not ideal when trying to socially distance. The whole place looks tired and there is nothing to really engage young children. Our visit took less time than it did to drive there.…

I love this place, its friendly, disabled friendly. Big car park. Can feed some of the animals, watch the cows being milked. Nice cafe not over priced. Toys they sell can be but then you are helping the farm. Nice play area. Entrance fee is good price.

This is the cutest farm with lots of animals and a really great family experience. You can walk around for hours on this farm and be entertained. The entry price is very low and is therefore great value for money!

Decided to take the family here as it was the first day of half term and the website gave the impression it would be a fun filled day and ended up in the que for 30 minutes going nowhere even after a 20 minute walk to the entrance as the car park was flooded so we had to park in a nearby residential area. We’ve been here before and the the car park and the entrance have been like this previous but nothing has been done to improve this. There were lots of families heading back to there vehicles because of this and lots of disappointed children.( including our own) It’s poor there was no signs at the entrance explaing this and the security guard at the entrance was working tirelessly on his own trying his best to sort this.(very nice gentleman) There are lots of farms and attractions around the area so I’d recommend trying elsewhere if standalone can’t sort there problems out after having all winter to address these issues.…
