We enjoyed our walk here, it's very peaceful and there was still some autumn colours which was lovely! The walkways were a little slippery but we were careful. The lake is nice too, again very peaceful. I definitely think the toilets and other facilities let...More

I think that I will avoid Hatfield Forest as there is a large amount of barbed wire that is difficult to see and is dangerous, particularly for dogs. Parking at Autumn half-term was restricted to the tiny car park at the entrance. The main car...More

Nice little lake and there’s a small cafe near the car park. I just wish staff would go round the walkways and clear up all that cow mess on the pathways. Unhygienic and not safe for young kids

Attended Woodfest festival. Festival is free and Camping is well overpriced. Lots of food (mostly unhealthy and not enough food stalls for the number of people) and stalls, with a good balance on natural products. My friends enjoyed the yoga. Fabulous site, we did lots...More

Visited with my young daughter and had a great time. Easy to find - 5 mins from roundabout for Stansted Airport services, and when you arrive the main entrance is manned with a NT member to help and answer questions. The whole area is well...More

We stopped here to have a nature walk and picnic on our journey to the south coast. The forest was lovely, thought the signage could have been a little clearer to the cafe area.Impressed with the board walk ways. On arrival at the cafe area,...More
