We were blessed with fabulous clear skies and sun. A walk over the downs here seeing interesting bird life, ravens, kestrels, skylarks as well a display Spitfire! Helped by a wonderful National Trust guide. Franky a perfect morning memorable for ever.

There are great views from the top of Tennyson Down, both of the island and over towards Poole, Bournemouth and beyond. It's quite a challenging climb to the top but really worth it.

Fantastic views. Great walk for the dogs and if you get a chance to visit Tennyson's house in Freshwater, do.

We always enjoy doing this walk over the down past the monument to the needles. This time we walked back via the less strenuous path to the thatched church which was lovely and had the benefit of the shade from the mature trees.
