We went in January 2022. The attraction's site and signage around the car park seem to suggest that the attraction was open. We made our way to Havenstreet especially for this. Unfortunately, once we got there we were greeted with a closed front gate. It would have saved us time and fuel if it was made clear that this attraction closes some months of the year.

Flying different, beautiful birds for a good hour..worth every penny. The young lady named Cole gave us an excellent, informative talk about each bird, the history, the details of its progress and much more. We would thoroughly recommend this experience. - we will go back again.

Thank you so much to the whole team for an amazing day out on the Falconry Experience. We learnt so much and had the best time. We hugely recommend it to anyone considering visiting, and if you don’t know what to get a friend or family member for a present, this experience is well worth it ❤️

Lovely experience
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the team at Haven falconry. Just spent my birthday doing the falconar for the day experience. Got to do a hawk walk & join in flying some of the birds. The staff were friendly & very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend & hope to come again soon.

The falconry centre is accessed from the steam railway but you can enter without paying for the steam trains.
We booked a Bird of Prey experience well in advance and what a great decision that was. We got to fly a Kestrel a Barn Owl and a Harris Hawk with the excellent Luke as our handler. He was brilliant very knowledgeable and you could feel his enthusiasm with every word. We got a whole hour with just the three of us and the birds. This was truly a brilliant experience in fact it was the best thing we did in the whole week. We had a nice long chat with the lady owner who was also very friendly. This is a definite must do and I can’t recommend it highly enough as one of the places that deserves visitors to keep it open especially after the COVID shutdowns. There is plenty to see with a flying display twice a day and reptiles and mammals as well as more birds. There are plenty of special experiences you can do with even ferret walks at just £3. I would definitely do this again in a heartbeat.

A fantastic experience for all our family, even one with a fear of birds. Cole was very engaging and extremely knowledgeable about the birds we handled. The flying displays were very interesting and we learned so much. It was the highlight of our holiday and we would love to go again. Highly recommended for any age and great value for money.

Absolutely brilliant, unique experience. Max from Essex knew each bird, had loads of tales and was an endless source of knowledge. He kept our three children mesmerised for the entire experience. Thank you! Thank you! We had the BEST day.

Visited today 24/10/21. Really enjoyed it, especially the falconry display. Very entertaining & informative. Although a bit confusing at first, it’s lovely being situated in the grounds of the steam railway

Cannot speak highly enough of this attraction. Bought my Husband a Falconry experience with the wonderful Cole. She is so vibrant and knowledgeable. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the different personalities of the birds. We would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone. Such good value for money too. We will certainly visit again. My Husband spent the whole journey home saying he had so enjoyed it all. For children (and adults) it would be a fantastically informative visit bringing in the environment in it's wider sense. There is also a small 'fluffies' section for the kids and they can walk a ferret or hold a reptile too. There is easy car parking in the Havenstreet Steam Railway car park next door. Just loved every moment of this visit!!!

Great place for all ages. Fabulous animals to view and learn about and the special 'experiences', where you are able to interact with the birds of prey, are breath taking. Our guide, Cole, made our visit with her knowledge and her joyful personality. The birds are fascinating but you also learn how we can all do more to protect. Informative and fun... who could ask for more?
