Great beach with golden sand and clean water. Spent the day here in early July, with the warm weather it felt like we were somewhere tropical! Will visit again.

Down the road from Ryde beach this is miles of sand. Good view of Portsmouth on a clear day. Can park on the street next to the beach. Not much else to say!

Summer or winter this long stretch of beach is wonderful to walk along, with your dog, as a couple or as a family. And a great little cafe awaits you!

Cleaned every night, warm, with shallow water, superb beach for families - Plus the appley tower, for the imagination.

Nice beach - good sands for walking on and very pleasant. Loved paddling in the sea as well. Enjoy the beach

Appley is our local beach and the best on the Isle of Wight. It’s clean open expanse of sand makes it a pleasant, safe place for children to play. Parts of it are also accessible for dogs and there are cafes at either end.

When the tide goes out there is a huge expanse of sandy beach. Water still a bit cold for me though. Beware of sand banks that can be cut off quickly by the returning tide. Lifeboat on duty though (but you don't want to have...More

Its really an extension of Ryde beach, heading eastwards away from the town centre, but its quieter and less commercialised.
