Absolutely beautiful sandy beach. Panoramic views across the Solent. Great walk down to Appley Tower and back round the opposite side. Kiddies play area close to the pathway and not far from the car park. Can't believe I've missed out on this in so many previous visits.

We passed by Appley beach on our walk from Bembridge to Ryde on a Sunday early afternoon. The beach may be reached via a short walk from Ryde if using public transport and there are a number of (pay & display) car parks also in the vicinity. Although not one of the better known beaches on the Island, it does boast some nice sands which at low tide are very expansive and it does not get as crowded as those at Sandown, Shanklin & Ventnor. The beach gives good views of Ryde Pier and the mainland just across the Solent and the regular hovercraft comings and goings will excite young children at least in the short term! There are a couple of cafes at either end of the beach and the Puckpool Park facility give access to play equipment, refreshments and public toilets. The mysterious Appley Tower sits along the promenade and here also can be taken a nice walk in the shade of the trees.

Clean beach with a lovely park close by and cafe. You can access by cycle and it’s so peaceful, it’s free to go on the beach and paid parking close by.

Lovely beach with a very nice park nearby perfect for a good day out for picnic and to just chill. Great family ties nearby and cafe and side walk for pedestrians and cyclists as well as dog walkers. Recommend for a visit.

Beautiful beach below a lovely small park. Clean sands and warm seas, just perfect. Been visiting here for 50+ years and it remains as wonderful as it ever was. Small Cafe and clean bathrooms!
