This is a wonderful place to visit. We contacting the café prior to visiting to use the disabled parking at the entrance to the battery. The views are stunning. The café was welcoming , with excellent food and very kind tentative staff. The café is wonderfully decorated to provide an insight into nostalgic times. The national trust have provided an... More

This is a fantastic treat at the end of a long walk to the Needles (we walked from Freshwater Bay, past Tennyson and on to the Needles). There's not a lot to see and do when you get to the Needles but in all honesty it's more than I would have expected. It's a great shelter from the wind, and... More

Wow, this is a must do the views are amazing, see the mainland & all the way out to sea. The parking is great & lots of info, sadly the battery was closed so we couldn't see the needles in full view. Well worth seeing though.

Read all about the Isle of Wight's history and check out the best view of The Needles by climbing down narrow, winding stairs and heading through the tunnel to the watchpoint.

We wanted to go up and visit the battery but there was onlyban unmanned contact number to call to request access information for a disabled person in our group. I wasn't impressed as we would have had to leave them behind to walk up. Can I suggest better access information on boards for when the cafe/ battery is closed please.

This is a great location with lots to do. Admittedly it was a windy, chilly and frosty clear December day on Friday 2nd and the attraction was closed and there were not many people about. However it was a clear day which provided great views. You can tell how popular this site would be in the summer, as there are... More
