This is a lovely (short) walk on a sunny winters day. Don't plan to go to the restaurant at the end of the pier, though - you're better off choosing one of the excellent cafes along the waterfront.

One of the UKs most modern piers . The same length as the Titanic ! Even when the weather is rough it's a great walk ,the view looking back at the town has been photographed and painted by the good and the great . Enjoy a meal at the restaurant at the end ,also a mecca anglers .

Well worth a walk along it just to take in the views of the seafront of Deal. There's also a nice cafe/bar at the end.

I'd no idea Deal pier was such a Brutalist' structure... I see piers as an English Industrial thing that drifted into the seaside hols 'window' by default and lovem, however at the same time I'm sooo sad that we've lost most as they really are an integral part of the English prom/seaside experience. This pier is loverleee and on the... More

That is about all that may be said forthis grisly reinforced concrete jetty. Some people wax lyricalabout the pier. It's dull and they don't even light it up for Christmas.

Just went to the end and back as part of a coastal stroll. No real features to note. There is a cafe at the end but we didn't go in.

The pier is a nice place to get a view of the coastline back along deal. There is a cafe at end if the pier but I didn't go in. Nice to just walk along and feel the fresh salt air. Wasn't that cold even though I was there in Dec. just needed a jacket . You get to see... More

Having visited this café/restaurant at the end of the lovely Deal Pier with family I can only say what a total waste of a walk to the end of the pier it was. We all had a different meal and not one of them were enjoyable. The chips were rubbery and cold my scampi and peas were cold, my daughter... More

Nice little pier but the cafe at the end was a huge let down. Rubbish strewn floor and staffed by a host of clueless youngsters. AVOID.

The pier really needs some TLC, Dover DC needs to make some effort and spruce it up a bit, the lower deck was always good to walk along but even that's closed now due to 'wave damage' ie lack of maintenance!
