To be honest we didn't set out to eat at the Saracens Head. We tried all our usual places for lunch but as it was Bank Holiday everywhere was full. Anyway, we ended up at the Saracens Head and we are really pleased we did. Lovely, home made, traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Perfectly cooked. Vegetarian options also... More

Roaring fire, very friendly bar staff, comfy seating, a few beers on draft. Not far off the high street.

We ventured in to sample the delights of the Saracens Head. Friendly bar lady , good service . The locals were friendly and were helping to prepare the pub for a party. Large bar area in an L shape. Good decor in keeping with the age of the place The loos were clean

The Saracen's Head might be a bit off the main road but it is definitely worth the walk!! The owners are both very friendly and so are the other customers. The food is well prepared and very reasonably priced - the cheese board is especially delicious and boasts an excellent selection of local cheeses. I also went to one of... More

Visited following the new management's take over - great beer (with a happy 1/2 hr!) and a cheese board that is stunning and very reasonably priced. The addition of home cooked food also looked like a winner in the making, the new management deserve to succeed, this pub is well worth the walk from town to get to.

We had a lovely evening round the log stove with the rain poring down outside and Richard and Opal made us very welcome in serving a good meal too.Our dog enjoyed demonstrating her new found skill of repeatedly nosing her ball across the floor much to the amusement of the locals. Located on the oldest part of Deal just of... More

We had heard on the grapevine that the new management had transformed this pub so popped in for a quick drink last night. Lovely warm welcome by the management and friendly locals as we thawed out in front of a traditional wood burning stove. Very good red wine and convivial conversation made it easy to plan our next visit. We... More
