About
A small, family-run, rustic, farm animal attraction devoted entirely to micro and miniature animals. See cute micro pigs, miniature donkeys, Teddy Bear and Valais sheep, pgymy goats, alpacas and miniature chickens. You can even arrange to take them for a walk (extra charges apply). Small play area for the children while you chill in the mini cafe area. With only a small number of visitors booked in at any one time, our guests are able to spend a peaceful couple of hours mingling with our tame animals, many of them free-ranging. Huckleberry Woods is not the sort of place where you rush between loads of animal enclosures and man-made distractions. It offers an hour or two of peace and serenity. Time to relax. Time to 'be' not just 'do', time to reconnect with nature and experience close interaction with animals. Based minutes from Faversham in Kent. Closed Mondays and Wednesdays - ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. Sturdy shoes required to enter - strictly no open toed sandals or flip-flops.
Duration: 1-2 hours
Meets animal welfare guidelines

    Lovely birthday treat!
A fabulous family run business! Spent a lovely morning with my sister at the farm for her birthday. We were given a lot of food at the door as we wanted to feed everything we saw as soon as we stepped through. All the animals are friendly but the staff are even friendlier, who were more than encouraging to help us feed the animals and cuddle the sheep. I felt confident walking alongside alpacas, Pygmy goats and chickens which usually would make me nervous. Then we had a delightful coffee and cake in the beautifully decorated outside cafe. It was a classy and humble way to spend a morning. Next time we will buy an animal experience to get even more up close and personal with their delightful animals.
We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit to Huckleberry. Look forward to seeing you again in the future. All the best from the Huckleberry Crew

    Charming, hidden little gem.
Lovely little outing for me and my 2 1/2 year old. Great first experience for him with real animals, well looked after. Enthusiastic staff. Easy, free parking. Certainly a pleasant change from huge, yet overcrowded, sterile, massive queue venues. Right next to the main railway - a bonus for a train nerd.
Thanks for your review - we're happy you enjoyed our little farm. Hope to see you again! All the best from the Huckleberry Crew

    Brilliant for young children!
We visited huckleberry woods today as part of a reception class school trip and what an amazing little place! The owners are so calm and welcoming and amazing with children. For anyone looking for a few hours to take the kids would recommend 100%. We got to feed the pigs, donkeys and chickens get up close to the alpacas and sheep and brush the goats the kids enjoyed every minute!
Thank you for your lovely review of our school trips. We're glad the children enjoyed themselves. Hope to welcome you to Huckleberry again. Best wishes from the crew.

    Welcoming family run farm.
Lovely family run farm with a welcoming, relaxed family feel. Set in a large garden, cosy seating areas, animals enclosures that all blend in making it very natural. Most of the animals are free to roam and mingle amongst themselves and guests if they choose to. Lots of close encounters and feeding opportunities with all the animals. We did the private micro piggy encounter which was wonderful. Sitting amongst the piggy’s, feeding and brushing them, watching their antics and hearing all about them was great fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend Huckleberry Woods. It’s not just for children, we were a group of adults and had a great time.
Thank you Jodie. Very pleased to hear you enjoyed your Private Piggy encounter. Hope to welcome you again. Best wishes from Belinda and crew

    Well worth a visit!
What a fantastic place! Only 5 mins from Faversham but beautifully rural and quiet, this is a lovely place to visit for a couple of hours. There are miniature donkeys, micro pigs, alpacas, goats (watch out for the odd head butt!), chickens and a turkey. You can feed them and maybe take some for a walk if that's what you've booked. There is a little coffee shop on site with cakes, drinks and ices and some of the friendliest staff and owners you could wish for. Pop along, you won't be disappointed
Thank you very much for your review. We're very happy you enjoyed your visit and hope to welcome you here again. Best wishes from us all at Huckleberry Woods.

A highly personal and interactive experience with lovely people
We had the pleasure of being bought this experience by a friend, and we added a spectator ticket too. It was such a personal experience with the booking and our visit all being handled by the owners themselves. We got to feed the animals, care for them in a very hands on way,, and put them to bed. The animal welfare is the priority, as it should be. We even helped out when one of the 3 week old lambs developed a limp while we were there. Lovely people who really care for their animals and a great experience for people who enjoy the simple pleasures.
I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your micro animal bedtime experience. And thanks again for your help catching our lamb, she's right as rain and hasn't limped since we removed the wedged twig! Hope to see you again. Best wishes from Belinda x

    Wonderful place excellent staff
Visited here for the first time yesterday and booked the micro pig experience. Lovely little place where we were greeted and checked in and given some fees for the poultry and carrots for the donkeys and alpacas. All animals are free roaming and very gentle and we loved every minute of it. We then did the micro pig experience where we got to go and fuss 7 pigs. Scarlett I believe the young lady who oversaw this was very pleasant and knowledgable and enhanced the experience for us. Well worth a visit good value.
We're very happy to hear that you enjoyed your private piggy encounter, Scarlett will be everso pleased to hear that. Come and have another Huckleberry chill out sometime soon. Best wishes from the crew.

Great day out for little ones
A lovely trip out for little ones getting to interact with the animals. Really nice and friendly staff. The rain didn’t put us off! The experience is only 2 hours which is plenty of time to see and feed the animals. Loved the alpacas!!
Thanks for braving the rain - glad it didn't spoil your visit. See you again we hope. Best wishes from the Huckleberry Crew

Not just for kids....I received a voucher for the Miniature Donkey Walk with the lovely Duke (great gnashers!) & Wizard (with his cool hat!) So much fun....would highly recommend. Such a lovely afternoon out...Chickens (Silkies were my favourites so fluffy), Turkey, Alpacas, Sheep (with new baby lambs) Goats & Piggies then afternoon tea & cake - pretty much my idea of heaven :) Oh & can't forget to mention Bill & Belinda and the rest of the staff that work there so welcoming & very knowledgeable as you would expect!! Will definitely be back x

It was a lovely sunny day with not many people there a bonus. A couple were doing a micro pig walk which looked amusing. Not quite sure who was walking who 😆. The whole experience was great for our grandson who was very apprehensive to begin with as the animals are able to roam freely. Although by the time we left he was very confident walking by himself. I would think it looks a lot better with leaves on the trees & flowering plants in spring & summer months. The small cafe’ was a treat & very reasonable in price a cafetière of coffee for two ( two cups each) a gingerbread man & a chocolate muffin for 10.50. Be mindful that no picnics are allowed because of the animals. The owners & helpers are very hard working and very passionate about their animals & their welfare. Also very knowledgeable about the different breeds & willing to answer any questions you might have. All in all a good couple of hours.

This was one of the loveliest days out I have ever had! The whole experience was perfect. It is such a beautiful place to visit. The animals welfare is clearly the top priority for the staff and owners (who also seemed to really enjoy themselves!) There are bookable experiences available, one of which I am delighted my boyfriend booked as a surprise...and we got to walk the two adorable donkeys. Included in this were snacks for the donkeys, an opportunity to brush them and a fun and informative chat with a delightful member of staff. There are lots of other animals to see and the whole experience we finished with a lovely cup of tea and a homemade cake from the outdoor, covered cafe. Huckleberry woods is a beautiful and accessible place for all ages and I cannot recommend it enough. You are made to feel welcome throughout the visit, spending as long or as little time as you wish. There are interesting little displays with key, relative facts. All the staff were engaging and happy to answer any questions you may have. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

This place is so lovely, a warm greeting and we were given our animal feed & then led us through the entry into the orchard, we were greeted by the Alpacas who love carrots.
Lots of chickens, turkeys to feed.
Brushed some goats (I mean I’ve never brushed a goat before )
We paid to walk the micro pigs and we had Trotski and I think Lord Truffles- Linda and the other lady (sorry cannot remember her name) were absolutely lovely, so informative and chatty as we walked round the orchard, very relaxing.
We also had a some drinks in the cafe, a big pot of tea was a great end to the afternoon
I would 1000% recommend coming here, fantastic job ladies

A Birthday treat
'Teddy Bear Sheep Experience for 2'
We paid £86 and travelled quite a way to literally briskly walk with the sheep for 8-10 minutes. The staff bribe them along with a bucket of food in their faces - no time to stop and sniff 🐑

Didn't really see the pigs as they were out on experiences.

Llamas are cute I think we saw 2?

Our price included afternoon tea £4.95 each.
(A small plastic cup of juice and a very small cupcake)
You could have tea or coffee if you wanted.

The outdoor cafe is far too small to accommodate the ticket holders - you are sitting very closely amongst others and what they serve is very minimal...
Nothing savoury at all.

Quite disappointing and in my opinion advertised much different.
Such a shame because other reviews suggested a much better experience.

So sorry you were disappointed with your experience. Did you raise any of this with a member of staff while you were here at all? To answer the points you raise - the sheep sometimes go fast, sometimes slow and sometimes need a bit of encouragement with plums, monkey nuts and branches of elderflower, which is usually all taken as part of the fun and is exactly as advertised. After the walk you are then left to cuddle and pet the sheep in their paddock as long as you'd like to. We have 10 mini pigs, and the maximum number that are having a walk in the orchard at any one time is 3 - leaving 7 pigs snuffling in their paddocks and 3 walking on harnesses in the orchard where our visitors are spending time. I'm not sure how you could have missed them all - they're not known for their silent snuffling. We have a fresh air mini cafe, to go with our mini farm, as advertised, which, like most eateries, is sometimes busier than others. We offer hot and cold drinks, cakes and ice creams but, being a tiny family-run venue, I can't manage to produce savory food as well or I would well and truly be pushed over the edge! The cupcakes are homemade and are standard cupcake sizes as far as I'm aware. I'm sorry you didn't like our little farm. All the best from the Huckleberry Crew

We had a lovely time at Huckleberry Woods. We were greeted by the alpacas who were roaming the orchard waiting for a treat of carrots from the visitors. There was a pretty sheep with her two lambs also free to roam and she was calling to them like a mum with her naughty children as they kept wandering off. The highlight was walking with the two miniature donkeys around the orchard and feeding them carrots and grooming them too. We had a cup of tea and a biscuit afterwards. Highly recommended for a great couple of hours.

We had booked for Saturday when the weather was awful so asked if we could change to the Sunday which they did without fuss.
The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and everything was organised wonderfully well.
The animals have lots of room in a lovely meadow which also has a "witches" wood which our 4 year old loved. The staff are knowledgeable but wait for you to ask them rather than imposing which was refreshing.
On site there are toilets and a small cafe with ample parking.
Cant recommend enough. Best animal petting type place we have been

Wonderful experience! It is clear the animals needs are the priority but visitors still get a great experience interacting with the animals.
Very knowledgeable and welcoming staff. My dad is a wheelchair user and we where not expecting to get further than the cafe into the orchard reading the website information, which would have been fine but we managed to push the wheelchair around most of the orchard and interact with staff and the animals. I expect this will become much more difficult as the ground softens in the winter but we were pleasantly surprised how much we could access.
Very clear pre visit information was very helpful. Easy to find using instructions.
Calm atmosphere and clearly very cared for animals. My daughter and mum loved walking the donkeys Duke and Wizard. We will be back!
Thank you

I visited the farm last week and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff are so lovely and knowledgeable about the animals , everyone is so kind. We took the donkeys and pigs for walks, and had tea and cake. They give you feed for the alpaca and chickens. The whole place is small but well set up, the animals are so cute and well loved. I highly recommend visiting- and you can buy fresh chicken and duck eggs at the cafe. Please support this place by visiting and giving great reviews.

I took my animal loving 4 year old grandson, it was lovely! He loved feeding the turkeys, chickens llamas and donkeys. Lots of litttle micro pigs to see, some woolly sheep to stroke and he was thrilled to see 'Jemima Puddleduck'. Staff are knowledgable and friendly and we can highly recommend the hot chocolate and cupcake in the cafe 😊
