Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a treat! We have lived in Kent for many years but this was our first visit to this wonderful cinema. Located in a 1930s mock Tudor building the cinema is certainly quirky and a wonderful alternative to the featureless out of town multiplex.
Staff all friendly and helpful, seats comfortable, audience respectful (no chatting or playng with phones) and a bargain at £5 per ticket.
Lots of parking in Faversham. The car park we used was free after 6pm. Plenty of places to grab a bite before the film.
As well as films The Royal show live screenings from the National Theatre, I've already bought tickets for The Crucible

Gorgeous cinema. Looks like a theatre and always feels like an occasion when you go..
The staff are courteous, good mannered and friendly. The cost of a seat is very reasonable often just five pounds. It has a lot of the big films but also has a Film Club on Mondays showing more niche films..

It is the most heartening experience to visit this cinema. Polite staff who say hello and goodnight and actually care about customers. A lovely old little building transports you from the pushy, in your face, over-priced ruthless capitalism of 2022 to a time of simplicity and kindness:)

This cinema is fantastic! We never go anywhere else. So reasonably priced and the staff are always so welcoming.
The cinema itself is a lovely old building. So you want to support small business and have a unique cinema visit, this is the place for you. We love it

I love this place. Simple, no frills cinema, with afforable prices. I would choose this over a multiplex any day. Sound and picture quality are good too! Support local, keep going to the Royal Cinema. We are lucky to have it!

For a trip down memory lane, you can't beat the Royal cinema. A huge auditorium, showing one film only, incredibly good value and run by people who really care abut film. The latest projection facilities mean that the film is crisp and top quality viewing. Fab little local cinema.

Love the good old comfort of cinema seating like it was in the 50s and 60s! The cinema needs the revenue from children's films, but they manage to get most block busters in good time, and even host a good film club. Well done Peter and Michael.

There is no comparison between the Royal Cinema and a multiplex. A warm welcome, comfortable seats, reasonably priced tickets and refreshments. Easy parking close by. Since going to the Royal I no longer go to any other cinema, the atmosphere just isn't the same.
