- Kevin SMaidstone, United Kingdom89 contributionsGreat DayWe did the half day falconry experience and it was excellent, Aaron and Megan were very friendly and knowledgeable which added to the day. We flew 6 different birds to hand and also it was great to take the birds out into the surrounding countryside to fly them. We would definitely do this again.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 October 2023
- Helen CKent, United Kingdom69 contributionsGreat opportunity to try new thingsA great experience trying new things. Joe was friendly, encouraging and provided a fun filled afternoon of archery, cross bow fire and my personal favourite, axe throwing. Joe would give a demonstration and offer advice throughout however took the relevant step back for you to just have a go and enjoy it. I would highly recommend Joe's Bows and indeed on returning in thr near future. Thank you Joe! 😊Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 November 2023
- Victoria BFolkestone, United Kingdom2 contributionsBrilliant Time!As a group of 30 year old adults, we had a fantastic time at Joe's Bows! It far exceeded our expectations. Joe was brilliant and very relaxed and we felt that the price we paid was very reasonable for an hour of fun. Would 100% go back!Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 February 2024

- Julie4 contributionsFantastic experienceWe really enjoyed the falconry experience with Megan who was lovely and so knowledgeable. The birds get to fly freely which is great. We flew owls, a rook, falcons and a vulture! Tiny owl Duke was so cute. There were only the two of us, which was lucky for us, but they do only take small groups so plenty of opportunity to handle the birds. A fantastic experience and well recommended.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 March 2024

Worth every penny, will be returning and reccomending to friends. A must go. Megan and Emelia made us feel totally at ease.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 April 2024
- Claire F25 contributionsWonderful experience meeting the OwlsHad a very enjoyable time and learnt a lot about Owls! My instructor, sorry I didn't get his name, was really knowledgeable and friendly. I did learn all of the Owl's names plus some interesting facts about each type of owl. Also met a Harris Hawk and a chatty Raven. The weather was windy but luckily my visit was moved to an earlier time to avoid the rain. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe's Bows.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 19 April 2024

- Hayley CDeal, United Kingdom4 contributionsBrilliant dayMy partner had a voucher for the falconry half day, which we finally got around to using. Absolutely brilliant day, the birds were beautiful and Megan was great at telling us about each of the birds. And some humour as well, in particular when one of the owls would not do what it was supposed to! You can tell Megan has a real passion for falconry and birds. Thank you for such a wonderful and interesting day :) HayleyVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 May 2024

A fantastic visit & talk from Joe, with three of his magnificent birds of prey. The Kestrel, who obviously adored Joe, was a highlight. Joe kept our young members enthralled, pitching the talk at just the right level for our age range. I’m planning to visit next time we visit Kent. Brilliant!

We purchased this experience through Groupon and it was fantastic. We were greeted by our falconer Dave who was very knowledgeable having worked with birds for quite some time . We were given a leisurely experience with 6 of us in this group. Plenty of flying time and lots of hands on experience during out 2.5 hours of time . Would highly recommend Joe’s Bows who operate most times of the year and they can offer experiences to suit the age of groups if needed you just ask when booking . We were lucky as the weather was great for this time of the year and we saw about 5 different species .

Joe joined our virtual Scout session via Zoom yesterday with three of his friends, Jack the Barn Owl, Lancelot the Lanner Falcon and Eva the Harris Hawk.
Jack was very vocal on the call with his squawking and hooting, lots of head turning to keep the attention on himself, we now have several Cubs and Scout who now want to meet them in real life.
Joe made the session fun and engaging for leaders, oh sorry and the kids! He was so knowledgeable about the birds of prey, held his own with his knowledge with plenty of time for questions at the end, it was a truly a memorable experience for all that attended.
Thanks again Joe for your time on Sunday, absolutely brilliant experience and thanks for putting some smiles on everyone’s faces.

Had the most wonderful experience doing the VIP falconary half day for my father's belated 80th birthday. Megan was very knowledgeable and made the experience a lot of fun with her antidotes about the individual birds and their hilarious antics. My mum and I were also given the opportunity to fly the birds as well which was a really nice touch and totally unexpected. It was well worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in birds of prey. A very friendly and professional service was provided from the beginning to the end. Thank you to Joe's Bows and especially Megan for an experience my father will never forget.

We had a fantastic morning as a group of 4 doing the axe throwing, archery and crossbow experience. Don't know if the groups are normally larger but we felt we had amazing value for money having thrown many axes and shot lots of bows. Our host Phoebe was utterly amazing being both attentive and humorous ensuring our time was an absolute blast. We will definitely be looking for another experience with these guys. Many thanks Phoebe.

Very interesting talk by Joe to a group of Beaver Scouts and Cubs Scouts (ages 6 to 10 years old). Joe was very enthusiastic and involved the kids as much as possible over the Zoom medium. Great to see an owl, a falcon and a hawk and learn all about their habits. Plenty time for the kids to ask their own questions which Joe answered really well. Approximately 30 minutes duration. Thoroughly recommended for this age group. We've had loads of positive feedback comments from the kids, parents and leaders. Great communications before the online meeting. Well done Joe and Gemma.

Brought as a birthday present for my partner as he loves birds of prey and it was a lovely morning, we got lots of turns with the birds flying to our glove as we walked around the lovely surroundings and the birds looked amazing flying against the scenery. We had a good variety of birds and it was really nice to be up so close to them. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and We would recommend this experience to anyone

We had a fantastic Zoom session with Joe tonight, who showed us several of his birds - all of which are amazing. Joe was awesome, fielding questions and comments from many of our young people and his knowledge certainly inspired our Scouts to keep asking questions.
Highly recommended, an enthralling session for all ages.....

Such a great experience. Megan clearly loves her birds and is so knowledgeable. The morning never felt rushed and Megan not only took time to give a detailed background to each bird but also gave us ample opportunity to feed them from the glove whilst walking around the spectacular gardens. The birds we saw all had their own quirky attributes which made the experience even more interesting. As you can see from the photo, they landed where they wanted to! Seriously could not have been better.
Can’t wait to go again.
Thank you Joe’s Bows but, more importantly, thank you Megan. Deserves more than a gold star!!

We had a whole days experience. 10 till 4. Thoroughly recommend it. Flew 6 different birds of prey. Barn Owl, African Spotted Eagle Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Long Legged Buzzard, Harris Hawk and a Hooded Vulture. I believe they fly different birds at different times of year. I'm looking forward to booking another day.
