Never been to the Christmas lights at Bedgebury and always wanted to go.

Booked two tickets and parking for approx 17:00 not many people around so was able to amble through the forest. What i saw was nice, took us about an hour to walk round would i go again?

Can't comment of food or drinks as we did not purchase any but the prices did seem a bit steep.

Toilets were porta cabins but they were clean. Lots of staff around.

We’d been to the Bedgebury Lights about 3 years ago and it was a lot better than this year (21/22).
I appreciate that potential Covid lock-downs may have made it difficult to plan in case of closures. Plus, there were a lot less people than before probably for social-distancing reasons - hence the lights budget was clearly a lot less as they were taking in less visitors. The loos were down-graded from the VIP-type previously to portaloos. However, the ticket prices were still pricey at £20 p/adult and £8 for the car parking.
The lights were not particularly imaginative and there was a lot of neon tubing wrapped round trees and some trees just covered in non-illuminated tatty baubles.
The usual ‘cathedral-like’ light tunnel was there. There was also a Gladioli tunnel which was nice and the lilies by the bridge were striking.
Nothing remarkable though and much of the grounds just covered with some simply up-lit trees. Kew, Wakehurst and Waddestone do it so much better.
We chose Bedgebury as it’s dog-friendly but we’ll leave the dog with family next year and go to Wakehurst as this really wasn’t worth the 40 min drive each way for a quick 45 min trail. Can’t comment on the catering as didn’t bother as didn’t seem look anything special and a small cup of mulled wine was £5.

We went on a family of four ticket with car parking and whilst i have to say it was an enjoyable experience for all ages it did work out as extremely expensive for what effectively was 90 minutes at most including stopping off for very expensive hot dogs (it was nice but hard to justify £9.50 on a sausage in a roll). All in all it was a lovely Christmas Experience but I'm not sure it is something we could justify going every year as a family.

Lights are fantastic and great for small children and adults alike. Price for entry reasonable, however as becoming more and more the case, the price of food from the small stalls is extortionate. £7 for a hotdog, wouldn't mind if the quality was butchers instead of bookers. Overall a great experience, can't blame bedgebury light organiser for the before mentioned.

Disappointed in the lights! The scenery of the pines at Bedgebury are beautiful and would lend themselves to a magical Christmas experience, but the lights are poor. They don’t utilise the trees or design well, just stick bits around the park that are additional to the trees and underwhelming. Having done Kew a few years ago, this does not compare in the slightest.

The food offering is also poor around the pinetum. One food truck with pulled pork and sausages and the rest of the offering was coffee/mulled wine. The cafe is open but the food was cold and there is no cutlery. Not good for feeding children! bring your own!

Won’t be going back for the Christmas experience! A shame as we enjoy the pinetum the rest of the year!

The social distancing was awful. It was so crowded that social distancing was impossible! I heard children coughing, and I felt panicky. I couldn't enjoy the experience for fear and we did our best to get out as fast as we could.

The marshmallow pits were especially frightening.. There were so many people crammed in. Even getting past the crowd was difficult.

There should be half the people allowed in, it should be mandated that groups keep 2.5 meters apart and this should be visually represented.

Food stall queues were dense too. These should have division distancing marks on the ground to keep people apart.

There was a beautiful tunnel of lights and people were being advised to stand on the left to take photos. All this did was serve to double the number of people closely packed in it.

Such a shame as the lights were beautiful. There's no way to know how many people arrived virus free and left with an unwanted gift of covid!

Booked to walk the Christmas trail. Despite thinking it was very expensive we were excited and looking forward to it. Unfortunately on the way there my car broke down and we didn't make it. I emailed to explain and was told that I would not get a refund and they would not allow us to exchange our dates to go another time. Totally disgusted that they thought it was acceptable to keep our £50. Very poor customer service.
