Last time we visited this facility , it was only the toilets that were open and I believe this is because the lease is up for renegotiation. As such , this is a very important part of the facility offering but if you're going down to visit the centre, make sure it is open again (especially if you are hoping... More

This is not a place which will instantly blow you away.... ... it lacks the grandeur of bigger inland country parks. It might at first sight seem as if this place will only while away a fast half hour. Yet... ... looks can be deceptive. There's a cheap car park (max £1 for all day), a playing area, a parkland... Parked up at Reculver towers today and after a brief walk round it, walked the clifftop across to bishopstone and although it was windy there were great views of Herne Bay and the offshore wind farm. Reculver was also where the bouncing bomb was tested during WWll

The first time I visited this country park, I thought I had died and whet to heaven, the views are out of this world. This is a beautiful and very safe dog walk. Their are two sides to walk up, one is 100% totally safe but the other side depends on how well train your dog is as its on... More

Half way between Margate and Herne Bay ( a lot closer to Herne Bay though) is this so called "Country Park". It is just a walk along the cliffs and good for dog walking or any one that wants to cycle but not much else Had been meaning to go for ages but very dissapointed

It's worth finding your way to the old Roman site at Reculver (between Herne Bay and Margate). There you will find an inexpensive car park, the remains of Roman and Saxon occupation, and the Reculver Country Park run by Kent Wildlife Trust. There is a small but interesting visitor centre which serves tea and coffee and has toilets. Once you've... More

There is limited car parking on hot days, but if you can get a space the park is a pleasure to roam. Imagine a links golf course without flags or gorse, and you have an idea of the park. Short stubby grass, sea views and cloud scapes, bird life and passing yachts - it's been the same for hundreds of... More

The information centre had a display of wild life that could be spotted. Details of the changing coast line over the thousands of years and the story of the bouncing bomb. There also were work /study facilities
