Was really looking forward to a morning spent browsing the stalls at the Xmas market. What a disappointment. The pier was empty with hardly any stalls and did not have a Christmas feel to it at all. Was a real let down

Not worth the visit. I know we visited outside of peek months however, there are no attractions, nothing exciting and everything that was closed looked poorly maintained and in need of serious investment to bring into the modern times. I wouldn’t waste time and fuel...More

The management of the pier was taken over by local people through the Herne Bay Pier Trust and the result is a vibrant bit of seaside fun and a great retail village located in beach-huts along the pier.
