Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very nice bandstand with a good amount of seating in the shade. One thing to mention disabled access left hand side. I don’t know where the disabled toilet is but you may need to ask.

This bandstand is a little piece of history when regular concerts would play in historic structures such as these. This is a beautiful addition to the Herne Bay experience with seating and a cafe nearby.

Ordered 3 salads ...£51 ! I'm still in shock 😲 cheese ploughman's salad and bottle of water . Even with the rise in the cost of living this is not justified . I will not be going back . We went onto to deans place and paid £8 for a decent tuna salad.

The Bandstand is directly on the seafront. Walk through to find plenty of seating to a cafe, a perfect meeting spot for friends. No acts were playing during my visit, but I could see this being a brilliant venue

A great place to sit for a coffee or a light bite, colourful parasols over the tables and good friendly service.

Well restored, a very pleasant sheltered space to listen to concerts, enjoy a meal and watch the world go by.

We love the bandstand - it is a sheltered little haven right on the front. Just a pity that half of the restaurant space is now empty. Mackari's provide an excellent service and delicious ice cream.

Hadn’t been here for years and was delighted to see the building well maintained
, cleaned and thriving.
The cafe served good cakes, I’m talking really good cakes. The ice creams were gorgeous and a big cup of tea at a very reasonable price for the British seaside in the height of summer in a beautiful building.
The sundaes looked amazing - can’t recommend highly enough!

We visited the Central Bandstand whilst walking a section of the Saxon Shore way between Herne Bay and Reculver. The bandstand is an enclosed area on the promenade without a central roof and here you will find refreshment and snack facilities and public toilets. There is also a stage area and this is presumably used for musical and entertainment purposes though on the day of our visit it was not in use due to the Covid 19 restrictions.
The bandstand looked to be well maintained and we thought it was quite a nice place when the sun is shining.

Just had teas here but the couple at the next table had lunch and it looked & smelled delicious. The service was a tad slow as serving was only done at the counter, not at the tables. This meant queueing and the line went out the door! The staff were friendly but there were clearly not enough of them (2 doing teas/coffees and 1 doing food) for the no of customers. Public toilets nearby were very clean. The outside seating area was within the 'bandstand' (building) and so was largely sheltered from the stiff breeze and a bit of a sun-trap. All in all a nice place to spend half an hour whilst promenading but could be even better.
