This railway is almost unaltered from as I remember it as a small child. Great steams trains puffing along up to Hythe and so much atmosphere. I love the way the trains snake in and around the houses and gardens and across the pebbles. There...More

First visited here over 30 years ago and have returned over the years, including a honeymoon visit and Santa specials with children. This was a family visit to Dungeness and it did not disappoint. Started with a coffee outside and a wonderful ride. We had...More

Whether you are young or old, you are certain to enjoy your day out with RHDR. If you wish to eat or drink, I would recommend the Heywood Buffet at New Romney Station rather than the cafes at Hythe or Dungeness.

Spent a wonderful few hours on the railway yesterday going from Hythe to Dugeness and back on this steam train. Got off at Dymchurch for the fair which is just as I remember it from 40 years ago. Went on the ghost train and dodgems...More

Took some friends on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway from Hythe to Dungeness. What a great little railway this is. 13 miles of small guage track going through land behind gardens to the wilderness of Dungeness. Climbed the old lighthouse, what great views, there...More

There are nO toilets on this tiny miniature train. There are toilets and a cafe at New Romney, Hythe and Dungeness stations. Travelling the full full length of track takes an hour, and there is a train every 40 minutes or... More
