A great day out and great value . We traveled to dungeness to visit the lighthouse then stopped at New Romney to have tea and see the model railway then Dymchurch to walk along the sea wall and play the arcades. Each time we stopped we boarded another locomotive and regular travelers knew all the engines from a distance which... More

We took our 2 year old grandson for a short return trip to Dymchurch. He is mad about steam engines especially Thomas The Tank Engine and absolutely loved it. The best bit was when Winston Churchill went on the turntable and also filled up with water, so don't get on until the steamer has moved to the front of the... More

The world famous RH&D Railway that runs all year is fantastic for all ages. Kids use it to get to school and adults to work. We got on at Hythe where there is plenty of parking. We went all the way to the end at Dungeness where we got chips at the Railway Cafe. Back on the train for return... More

Great day out and certain to be popular with people of all ages - especially with an interest in trains and railways. Good cafes along the route at New Romney and Dungeness with sausage and Chips type dinners with something for everything. Great museum and model railway at New Romney well worth stopping off to see. Also a shop there... More

Travelling in wooden carriages with coal smell from steam engine was back to our childhood. We just went Hythe to Dymchurch, as I wasn't keen at top speed.

A very pleasant hour on the tiny railway from Hythe to Dunganess lots to see and bought back nostalgic memory's of steam travel There is a nice coffee stop when you get to the end of the line but there were tickets which allows you to get of and explore the other stations well worth a visit

A working, narrow-gauge, miniature steam railway service in a lovely corner of Kent. There are numerous attractions nearby - Dover, Hythe, Rye, Lympne etc., but the R H & D Railway certainly deserves to be listed alongside them.

We really enjoyed our visit on this train. We went down to Dungeness and had a walk round. The facilities are prefect, toilets, access for disabled and pushchairs. Staff are friendly. Good value for money. Not a lot to do when the weather is cold. Glad we did it!

What a delight this railway is. I went on an organised charter and we were well looked after. You don't need to be a railway geek to enjoy travelling on this lovely little railway. The engines date back to the 1930's and are in superb condition. Bearing in mind that this is a miniature railway the carriages are quite small... More

For what it is, its quite expensive, not worth a special trip to the south cost, nothing to speak about at either end of the line, disappointing is a good word to use in summarising the place.
