We were a group of 9 mature adults with a plan to try several public houses in Margate. One of our group judges and submits their reports to a separate organisation, so be interesting to see their assessment. This pub was the third one on our list and between the second pub and the third pub the heavens opened. We got drenched in a very short period of time and two of the group arrived a minute or so before us and were already being served as we entered. The place was busy but not overly rammed compared to other the pubs in Margate. We had not even made it to the bar to join our friends, when a woman (assume manager) said that if only wanted a drink it would have to be outside as there was no space. Can only assume if we wanted a meal in this pub, they would have found space for us and served us a drink with our food! It was pouring with rain and the couple of parasols were amazingly already taken. So 7 of us had to make our way to our next location in the rain leaving two behind in the dry pub. In my opinion, we were unnecessarily shown the door, there were no health and safety/fire concerns. If this place is only a restaurant, then advertise as such. We were later informed by the two who did get served, that the beer was actually quite nice in there, shame it lacked a cordial welcome. We are local but we will not be returning to this pub. We went to several other busy premises, where we were made feel welcomed as soon as arrived and they will enjoy our repeat business.

We was greeted by a lovely guy who found us a spot to sit in the Nook.What a lovey guy and a real asset to your team.We had Margaritas with Jalapeño Dust(My god they were spicy) but really nice.A really great place to spend a couple of hours and we will defo be returning.

We had a hangover party from my nieces 30 th the previous evening . The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to help with seating etc .

Fabulous bar with a very welcoming feel. Anything goes here (in a good way) and sometimes there is music outside. It’s fab! The Northdown local ipa is great too!
