Walpole Bay has amazing marine life and a fabulous Victorian sea bathing pool, making it a must see on a cliff walk in the area. Swimming is not advised as water quality is poor. There are no facilities or lifeguards at this beach. Dog walking is banned in the summer months but the ban is ignored by many as can... More

Lots of graffiti which is sad. Watch where you step as there was a lot of dog mess when we visited. Seaweed smell was unpleasant and the whole area had a neglected air with the walkways being potholed and strewn with rubbish. Youths walking dogs (of pit bull type) made for an unpleasant atmospere.

I go to Walpole bay regularly with my dog at high tide there is still sand to walk along. I enjoy sitting on the edge of the prom watching the people on jet skis watching. There are much better beaches in Margate and Kings gate if you do not have a dog

I only went to this beach as me and my friend go lost but we both had a great time. We walked along the beach and had a little splash in the sea while we waited to be picked up. I found the beach clean and relaxing. You could spend a good few hours here.

This is a clean sandy beach, unspoilt by any commercial interference. Great for sunbathing. Also popular with walkers - dogs banned during the summer season.

Its always good to get a blow either before or after visiting the Walpole Bay Hotel for afternoon tea. The waves were rolling in the gale force winds.

Excellent Sunday 5 course lunch. The service is always brilliant and you don't have to ask for anything to be done, as it always is. Freshly cooked food and very fresh. I would like to spend a night there, one day maybe?

Contrary to all the adverse publicity still a nice beach and never too busy. Parking nearby is easy and the Walpole Bay Hotel is also worth a visit
