Not sure if the architecture suits the old harbour area of Margate but ion looking along the skyline to the monstrous 60's block at the end of Margate all was forgiven. Clean bright entrance and an attentive greeting from the staff. Entrance with special exhibits...More

A few Turners which were a bit 'samey' in my humble opinion! The Emin 'Bed' (could see that at home in my 21 year old's bedroom any day of the week!) and that was it really. Did I miss something? Like the man sculpture in...More

We called in for the Tracey Emin 'My Bed'/JMW Turner exhibition, but were equally captivated by 'Dutch Light' by Jyll Bradley and Anthony Gormley's 'Another Time'. It is worth coming to Margate for the Contemporary alone. Highly recommended.

Thank you for you 5* review! It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your visit and found inspiration in Jyll Bradley's Dutch Light. Bradley's sculpture will now spend the winter with us as it's time has been extended until 25th February 2018.
