About
Rose in June will be re-opening March 2020 under new management, Deke and his team took-over in July 2019 and are looking forward to welcoming everyone back after a stunning refurbishment. Hot Squeeze Margate will be back with a bigger menu, along with fantastic beers from Shepheard Neame, the best Negronis, Spritz and Margarita's in town.

I go to the rose in june often the bar staff are always pleasant and the owners are always very friendly . The pub is clean and i always have a good time. I always get asked if i want ice . In fact the rose in june is one of the friendliest pubs in margate2

Just awful! From the outside, ‘the rose in June’ looked cosy for a February evening. Once we had stepped inside we rapidly began to realise why we were the only people in there. The Bar man was extremely unhelpful. The wine choice was virtually non existent, so we went for gin and tonic. No ice - reply when asked ‘we haven’t got any’. No lemon, ‘we haven’t got any’. The bar area was strewn with bits of garden furniture and general rubbish shoved down the back of the sofa. The place was freezing, despite there being the opportunity of listening lighting the fire - ‘no logs’. With a bit of TLC this pub could be lovely. As it stands, we won’t be returning. We laughed, left our drinks and left.

Nice looking backstreet boozer with great name. Friendly landlord but poor selection of beers and not much atmo inside.

I met a couple of friends in the Rose in June on a Sunday night
One of the group mentioned that he hadn't been there for some time and wondered what it was like currently
Initially it was fine but then two foul mouthed men came in and were very loud and aggressive
The barmaid did nothing to stop the tirade and, in exasperation, we moved into the other bar before finishing our drink and leaving
The barmaid and male helper apologised profusely but, by then, it was too late.
it appeared that the participants were known, and tolerated, in the pub
we won't be going back for a long long time

Loved it here. Would like this to be my local. Good drinks options. We didn't eat but food looked good too. Service was good and there is outside space too.

Saw these guys on insta and thought, another one jumping on the whole smash burger thing but these guys aren't no amateurs . This is straight up high quality beefy, juicy, thin patties cooked up by someone who fully understands the maillard effect and that less is definitely be more with a burger. The Korean dipping sauce is addictive as prescription meds and the cheese strings are are worth fighting someone over.

Super lovely pub, with a gorgeous sun spot beer garden. Staff are absolutely lovely and beers are great - especially their own Pilsner! Food menu looked awesome, will definitely go back to try.

Lovely little pub with great decor. Friendly staff.
We had the ‘Hays hot sandwhiches’ which was delicious.
Have been to Margate many times and never seen this place so we’re glad we stopped by!

A little way of town, lovely pub that has kept is character, good lagers and rum, really nice bar staff and they play decent music!

We had a delicious Korean meal here, plenty of vegan options and a great pub atmosphere. It was very busy on a Saturday evening so do book ahead!
