About
The Vintage Dove is a family run business based in Gillingham, Kent. A home interiors shop with a coffee corner. We specialise in Vintage furniture in the French Shabby Chic style. All of our vintage finds are one offs sourced from various places across the country. We really love what we do and get great satisfaction from breathing life back into once loved furniture. Older furniture always seems to be of a much better quality than modern pieces and upcycling and reusing them is also helping the environment. We have a lovely selection of home interiors, gifts, and cards. We are very proud to be a stockist of Autentico Chalk Paint and Jeanne d'Arc Living Magazine. Yo can also learn how to paint furniture using the Autentico range of products on one of our workshops. Please visit our website for more information.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This stunning little shop is packed full of beautiful home accessories and also sell lovely chalk paints for your furniture. The staff are all lovely, it's the perfect place for a no pressure browsing session for shabby chic inspiration!

This shop is amazing. The owner has such a varied and beautiful selection on display. Vintage meets glam. Everything for sale is top notch quality. I LOVE THIS PLACE. The owner is very kind and patient; a great place to go for inspiration and to relax whilst browsing among the superior and interesting goods. You can even grab coffee and cake and just hang out ! I don't understand the bad review below as she would never hassle anyone for anything . If customers don't wish to see emails, they can always unsubscribe !!!

Since finding the Vintage Dove I have visited the shop several times, Steph the owner is very friendly and helpful. Lovely items for sale within the shop.
A craft day is offered on Wednesday mornings, although I have not been able to go to this, I'm sure it will be a good experience.
Happy to recommend this shop to other crafters of shabby chic.
Free parking outside shop, other ships in near vicinity.

I visited Vintage Dove and was amazed at all the beautiful bits for sale, it was so nice to sit and have a cup of tea and a browse. The lady running the shop is so friendly and we chatted whilst I drank my tea and felt really welcome, I would absolutely recommend everyone to visit the shop thanks for the lovely welcome x

This shop is filled with a lot of beautiful things, for every room in the house.
I attended a class for furniture painting on a Sunday. It was fun, and very informative. Steph who ran the class was so knowledgeable, about the products we were using, also had really good idea's, and helpful, and very patience with the class. I took a small side table to paint, and I came away from there with a transformed table. I have booked another class for March. It was enjoyable and friendly with only five people we all had different things to paint, but Steph spent time with us all, not hurried in any way. Made sure we understood what we were doing. I would recomme3nd this shop even if you did want to do furniture painting it has some wonderful thing for sale.
