    Fascinating little museum
We came from Cardiff not knowing the area at all. Deborah and Nicola were absolutely lovely. Very insightful and we learnt a lot within such a short space of time. Fascinating museum in a beautiful building. Definitely worth a visit!

    Worth it and it's FREE
Great little museum. A guide - an older man was wonderful explaining the exibits and the main points to note in the old courtroom with the wonderful stained glass showing Elizabeth I. We will definitely visit again when we are in Sandwich.

    Wonderful little museum!
Fascinating little museum with well displayed and explained artifacts and details of the local history and geography. Peter (the guide) was extremely informative and pointed out some of the special items there. A recent addition to the collection is a beautiful blue Roman bowl that was excavated in nearby Richborough. We were pleasantly surprised that the museum is free to visit.

    Visit to sandwich
Very interesting town with narrow streets ,interesting shops and great views from the top of the church 112 steps then back down £3.50 a visit . A visit to the Guildhall museum is definitely suggested to find out facts about the history of the building and of Sandwich itself . Jill our guide was excellent and was very informative thanks jill !!

We had a wonderful guide in a volunteer at the museum who was incredibly knowledgeable and was obviously very proud of the collection there. The highlight ( apart from magna carta) was the court room.

This is an excellent little museum with quite a lot of items on display.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were also able to visit the old court that is kept as it was many years ago.

Free to enter and straight into the old courtroom part. The lady guide was very pleasant and explained the history of the courtroom in an interesting way. Same for the lady looking after the small museum, and we learnt from a map why the Isle of Thanet is called that, when it is clearly not an island !
Good to spend half an hour there, as a lot of Sandwich seems to be closed on Sunday, although at least the parking is free that day.
