This is a great little museum. Really interesting exhibits and friendly staff. Would recommend to all visitors to Sandwich and indeed local people.

Very small museum, but the Magna Carta and Elizabethan courtroom are nice. I was personally escorted to the courtroom with a lovely volunteer who shared all the history with me. Definitely worth a visit--it's free! Stop in if you're around. The outside makes for a nice photo, as well.

OK it’s not big but to quote Rutland’s motto 'Multum in Parvo' {Much in Little}. The items are very well displayed, extremely interesting and the signage short but informative. Then you go to the court room which is mind blowing! Add to this we meet a friendly and well informed receptionist and you have a perfect “visitor experience”!

Sandwich is beautiful, and friendly. Came to the guildhall museum and Nicola kindly talked to us about the history of the land from when it was a port, up to recent times. We were the only ones in there so we felt like we got a private tour. The historical pieces were fascinating, especially the Roman elements and the Magna Carta. And the crem de la creme was the court house. Absolutely spectacular.

The scouts really enjoyed seeing the historical objects in the museum. Particularly the Magna Carta entry. The highlight of their visit was holding a mock trial in the court room
