Popped in to have a look at this church & in all the years I have been toddling around Sandwich with my students, have never found it open to the public which is a shame. Nice to compare the architecture of the 3 churches in...More

Apart from the lovely Norman tower, not much to look at from outside but once inside -- ah! well........Beautiful simple "plain" windows fill the interior with light and show glimpses of graceful trees outside. Interesting architecture, medieval floor tiles, wonderful tower arches[ superb fpr concerts]...More

St Clement's was originally Saxon, but a rebuild in Norman times survives in the really interesting tower. Lovely site also.
