My wife and neighbours had a very good evening on the Real Ale Train trip. Good selection of ales with wine and other drinks available. Food was sausage mash or curry which was good quality and we'll cooked not to mention generous. It was a very cold and windy night but the music at Bodiam was in large tent and... More

When I went to the KESR a Terrier and the Pannier Tank was running. On the pannier tank the crew were very nice and friendly. The trip was lovely including the station.

We took our son here for a day out with Thomas. It was very busy - the different trains and steam train ride in particular was a very popular attraction. Would suggest adding more outdoor seating, particularly as he weather gets warmer. And some clean toilets too!

Great to hear you enjoyed your 'Day Out with Thomas'. We were much busier than expected (despite the snow!), so our apologies if our undercover seating was at a premium! More

I visited the Kent and East Sussex railway this weekend and it was good. The Thomas the tank engine event was on and it was busy. I liked the trains and the performance from the staff and a good quality Thomas engine. The one downside was the infrastructure. The food let it down, not enough space for people to sit.... More

Went to see Thomas the tank and his friends yesterday with 3 under 6 years and one 11... each of them enjoyed the day. Loved seeing Thomas even if they all jumped when he was saying hello 😀. Nice that bouncy castle and ride is under cover as weather was not great. Lovely time had by all.

Our annual New Year outing with our local coach company included a return steam-hauled journey on this delightful preserved railway between Tenterden and Bodiam. Although the weather was rather wet it didn't affect our enjoyment of this journey 'down memory lane'. Our package included a ploughman's lunch and drinks served at table by two hard-working, delightful ladies. The caterers did... More

It's a beautiful train line. A little bit expensive but I understand they need the money to keep reinvesting in the maintenance of the line and trains. It's great to take a gentle ride down to the castle at the end of the line and have a cream tea in the cafe. If you don't want to pay to go... More

I have been on the Tenterden Town railway quite a few times now, and it never fails to evoke a feeling of nostalgia, both from the point of my childhood and the Agatha Christie books I have read. The old railway carriages are wonderful, pulling down the windows and smelling the smoke from the engine. Waving out the windows and... More

This is our second visit. This time we went with friends. Outstanding service from the moment you arrive. Dinner service faultless don't know how they cater to such a high standard on a moving and confined space. The service from the volunteers is exceptional and they should all be proud of they do . Highly recommended
