Played this course quite a number of times. Can be challenging depends on the person that arrives the golfer or hacker . But had fun

The course has a good mix of holes set in attractive parkland. The clubhouse was small but adequate. Plenty of parking.

We were in Tenterden to visit the Old Dairy Brewery at 14.30 so needed to have a spot of lunch beforehand.
As golfers we thought the local golf club would be ideal for a pint and a snack.
It turned out to be a very good choice. We were made very welcome and had a couple of nice beers and excellent ham egg and chips, scampi and chips and jumbo sausage and chips. Easy parking, friendly staff and very adequate lunch. We would call again.

The course was a lot flatter than I had expected although there are some steep but short climbs up to the 8th,11th and 17th greens. The views are very scenic especially at the well photographed 12th tee and at 5,800 yards the course is a good challenge.

The twilight rate was just £12 and even in mid April the course was in excellent condition with the rough cut back and the greens very smooth.

Originally a member here for around 10 years before leaving to try somewhere else, came back again due to improvements on the course and the structure.
Clubhouse has had a makeover and the bar is much more welcoming.
Whilst not the longest course, it is tricky and often catches people out.
Ongoing improvement works aren't hindering play or interfering so all is good here.
Not sure it's quite worth the annual membership in relation to a couple of other courses nearby but there are other playing options if you can't justify the full annual.

Lovely parkland course with a surprisingly enjoyable and challenging back 9. If you like elevated tee, you should definitely try out this course!

We enjoyed the Sunset in the Restaurant of the Golf Club with a Glass of local Wine. You should try the Gribble, made of Ortega grapes.

TGC should be congratulated for keeping the course open with the benefit of main greens and grass teas even in the midst of winter. The course is interesting with great views of the Weald especially from the glorious high 12th.
The staff are friendly and helpful , with a pro that is approachable and helpful and office staff that are exceptionally pleasant . The bar staff will do what they can to help.
The course is interesting and the holes will play harder than they seem. Small greens and strategically placed bunkers will give you a true test of golf while testing all your skills. A pleasant friendly members club without the poshness !!! I will definitely be returning !!

Very well kept course in lovely surroundings. Perfectly located for easy access from larger towns. Brilliant clubhouse to relax in after 18 holes. I can also highly recommend group lessons with Richard the pro, these are a great way to improve your technique in a friendly and encouraging environment. This course is definitely worth a visit!!
