Another year and another visit back to the area. I have always loved visiting Tankerton Slopes. It seems there are more new and brightly painted beach-huts which only adds to the charm of the place. Walk along the top of the slopes and stop for...More

Even on the day we visited Tankerton, it was a bit hazy but Southend can into view and it's a great please just to lay back and relax. Between the wind turbines you can see the WW2 Maunsell army fort.

A favorite spot for a short walk with dogs. Free parking on the front.. It can fill up on sunny weekends. A good pub and cafe for refreshments, snacks and meals. What is not to like?

A great place to take a stroll, walk the dog or simply sit and watch the world go by. Shops are within 5 minutes. Plenty of places to grab a drink or something to eat. Beautiful views.
