Really nice place to take a leisurely walk along the seafront, along the grass & by the beach huts. Walk my two dogs along this stretch on a number of occasions. Lovely views across the sea, somewhat spoilt by the wind farm, but I suppose...More

It still has that ethereal feel to it on a misty day, and the sunsets are to die for !! Clean, sloping down to the sea, a pebble beach, and lots of friendly people.

Just slightly away from the hubbub of central Whitstable and up and short incline, you come to Tankerton slopes, with great views of the north Kent coast to east and west, the windmills straight ahead and near to some excellent bars and restaurants too (East...More

We were disappointed to see how dilapidated and uncared many of the beach huts looked. Approaching the beaches from the road was unattractive due to overgrown grasses on slopes. Grasses on beaches were unappealing too. Well done to those beach hut owners who have made...More

After lunch in Mucini's close by, a stroll was needed, and a sit down too! Beautiful views, and quite a hive of activity with people bathing. It was very pleasant indeed, and an opportunity to reflect and take in some sea air

A great place to walk and just do nothing but observe the beauty of this part of the English Coast. So near big towns like whistable and herne bay but peaceful.

There are free parking spaces adjacent to the slopes. Which I think can be used for up to four hours. Although in the summer it can get very busy. To negate this we often park in Whitstable Castle. Have a sandwich there. (It... More

Yes the path by the beach is wide and level. The slopes down may be too steep for some but the prom from the Continental Hotel is level towards Herne Bay.
