What a find. An interesting little museum on the canal staffed by well informed volunteers who go out of their way to help. Some of the exhibits are a little dusty but it adds to the authenticity.visit and donate so places like this remain.

Visited for the first time after living in Burnley for most of my life ! It was so interesting to see and hear about Burnley’s rich heritage, the volunteers are just brilliant. Knowledgeable and friendly, it is definitely worth a visit
The visitor centre is located at Burnley Wharf and Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Run by very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers who are happy to answer any question. Do drop in when you are in the area and it's free. You won't be disappointed.

Run by volunteers, this is a great little place. Enthusiasm of the guides and helers enriches the experience. Burnley Wharf is a jewel of the industrial age. The centre is well worth a visi to get a small scale and local insight into another era.
