Booked for 1,30 for fish Friday in the Lounge. Shown immediately to a nice clean set table for two. Waitress for drinks arrived straight away for our order along with the menus. Had time to select ,although we had decided on the ,fish Friday ,offer. pot of tea and a white duly arrived followed by two huge plates of our main course.. Lovely helping accompanied by tartare sauce. and mushy peas and two small pots of tomato sauce and bread and butter . Altogether a very enjoyable lunch time in lovely atmosphere.Highly recommended.

We booked a table for the lounge. We visited three week's before my partner decided to book for her birthday party for 8 people she even picked the table one week before the party she phoned up to check the booking they said your have no reservation,so she repeated to book again on the same table, So they all turned up ,they where seated on the wrong table. So my partner complained to the manager has a bit off luck, the people left and they got there table, they wanted .Then it got worse they had to wait one hour for their meal. While everybody was getting there food before them .when they got there meal the food was excellent. They seem to be accepting bookings and not writing them down, also they phoned up the next day to say you got a booking for 8 people she said that was yesterday There seems there is something wrong with the booking system.

Id been asked to organise a family get together in the new year. I spoke to a lovely young girl the other day, I think she was called Paige who gave me lots of information about the facilities and food that crow wood could provide. I always struggle to find somewhere to eat as I’m coeliac and my daughter is vegan. So thank you so much, makes life easy when you speak to someone who understands about intolerances. I’m going to feed everything back to the family and hopefully will be booking something in the new year. It’s so refreshing to speak to someone who knows their stuff (i think she said her mum was coeliac) I get totally fed up of jacket potatoes steak and salad that most places have on offer :(

Overall a very positive experience with one or two minor niggles. Best thing really was the attitude and friendliness of the staff. Receptionists were all lovely and the young wait staff at breakfast were all great. Our room was lovely - large comfortable bed and well appointed modern bathroom with great shower. Sadly the carpet wasn’t particularly clean with crumbs on the floor. Could have done with a lighter duvet and air conditioning would be nice. Most surprising to me was that there was no shower cap - even at reception! They just don’t have any. Would expect this to be standard at this price point. Breakfast was delicious- though I did have to ask for runny poached eggs as the standard seems to have them cooked firm. Drinks were relatively inexpensive at least compared to what we’re used to. Loved the garden outside our room. Slightly surprised at having to pay on check in - not usual at this standard of hotel, but saved time on departure as there was quite a queue. Spa very nice but an additional £30 and very busy.
